Cinderella Story

--Kayden's Pv.—

'This party is sinfully boring' I thought in my head trying to keep my mouth shut from screaming at this rambling blonde in front of me. When we first got here I was immediately bombarded by the cheerleading team asking me if I would save them a dance, of course I had to respectfully decline, but that doesn't mean I didn't want to rip their heads off.

I really don't think I'll make it through the night, I might just have to ask Katerina if she would be opposed to leaving early and going to Taco Bell, I'm dying for a supreme crunch wrap.

--General Pov.—

Kayden was standing there with a faraway smile on his face as the blonde in front of him just kept rambling not even noticing he wasn't paying attention. As Kayden was picturing a beautiful crunch wrap with a large Mnt. Due, and cinna twists, Katerina was waiting for the real person she wanted to see, Lucifer.

She had had a crush on him since the third grade, but he was always hanging around with Anastasia, and she made it on to the cheerleading team, and then became captain. 'Hopefully he will be here soon' Katerina thought at she chatted with a tall red head.

--Anastasia's Pov.—

'Here we go' I thought as we made our way to the entrance, just before we were to enter I stopped. Lucifer looked back at me with a worried look on his face, and I gave him an equally worried look back. "What's wrong," He asked.

"What if something goes wrong, and I transform?"

"Nothing's going to happen, except you might get some new admirers." He said with a smirk on his face.

"I don't know"

"We are here, you have to go in, you look beautiful and I have a surprise for you." He said reassuringly.

"What's the surprise?" I squeaked out.

"That's a secret until after you conquer this prom," He said sinfully.

"Okay, I think I'm ready." We walked in and the place instantly became quiet. Everyone's eyes were on me and Lucifer. I looked around trying to find comforting eyes but all I found were a pair of intense amber eyes staring back at me. The eyes seemed to swirl with unspoken promises and emotions that drew me in like a tidal wave.

--Kayden's Pov.—

I noticed immediately when she showed up. She seemed like a goddess sent just to torture me. Her hair shown at full length in all it beauty with soft curls throughout, and in the light seemed to turn have a wonderful blue hue to it. Her dress took me by surprise. The dark blue pattern matched her hair, and the corset made her shapely figure even more prominent and the pearls made it seem as if the night had sent its ward down to capture my soul.

I watched as she looked around, she looked nervous, searching for some kind of comfort. When our eyes met, I could have dropped dead then. Her eyes were a spectacular green that looked almost tortured at this moment. When she captured my eyes, I seemed to be dragged against my will, not that I wanted to look away. When her friend succeeded at gaining her attention our moment was torn, and I was thrown back to reality.

--Lucifer's Pov.—

I noticed that Anna had found what she was looking for, when her eyes caught with non-other than Kayden Smith. I smirked at the image they would make together, both beautiful and talented. They would make the perfect couple, if only I could trust him with my Anna, I don't know if I could trust him with her though. She may seem tough but on the inside, I know it would be easy to break her.

It was when the room got over the shock of seeing this spicy vixen and they were still holding eye contact that I thought I should split them up, before one of them got trampled, or died, you never know.

--Anastasia's Pov.--

It was Lucifer's oddly large hands waving in front of my face that brought me out of my spectacular moment in paradise. "Do you need a room?" He asked sarcastically.

"I'm in a room," I respond, with a bit of harshness being pushed down by the feeling of my blush travel up to my cheeks.

"I meant one where you could be alone with Prince over there." The blush now ten time worse is prominently on my cheeks and not going away any time soon. I sigh.

"Let's go mingle," I say grabbing his arm and leading him to the punch bowl, where he efficiently takes a flask out of his coat pocket and pours it in the punch and has the flask in his pocket again, all in a matter of seconds. I give him an annoyed stare as I look at the glass of spiked punch being handed to me. He chuckles "Don't worry. Nothing strong, Lighten up."

I shake my head but take the glass, and do an experimental sniff. 'It doesn't smell to bad' I think, then I take a sip, and its actually enjoyable. I nod my head at his curios glance and we head over to the tables to mingle.

After about an hour of mingling with people who had no idea who I was before tonight, I see Katerina and walk over to her. I had known her for a while, she was super smart and in my math class, we occasionally exchanged notes.

"Enjoying prom?" she asks seeing me walk over.

"Yeah, kinda loud. I'm only staying until Lucifer says I ca go." I say jokingly 'kinda', she giggles. We talk about mundane things like math, the weather, football for around 10 minutes when our companions join us. Lucifer coming up behind me and Kayden coming up behind her.

"Who's your friend?" Kayden asks Katerina. She turns to me and say's "This, my dear friend, Is Anastasia Williams."

"Nice to make you acquaintance," I say dramatically, taking an equally dramatic bow. He chuckles, a deep, hypnotic sound and I can't help but melt to. He then takes a bow himself, while grabbing her hand and kissing the top, "The pleasure is all mine, dear Anastasia."

We talked for a while, noticing that both Lucifer and Katerina had disappeared, I make a reminder in my mind to ask him about that. When the principle came into view, and asked for the king and queen candidates to come on stage, I watched as Kayden walked up stage. It wasn't until everyone was onstage that I remembered Lucifer made me run, and I internally chuckled, there was no way I could win.

We all listened to the principle go on and on about how good of a class we are and he was happy to have us. When he made it to the prom King envelope, no one was surprised when Kayden won. He walked up to the crown with confidence I envy, and the crown was placed on his head, it looked as if it belonged there.

When it came to Prom queen, everyone was squirming. I, on the other hand went to get another glass of punch. What I couldn't believe was when they called my name, on stage, and a blinding light came over me. Everyone was staring and I was embarrassed to my very core, that's when I felt it. My inner self wanted out, and this time, I couldn't control her, so I did the only thing I could think of. I dropped the drink and ran. About halfway down the hall my 'beast' won and I transformed, and I just ran, until I found a very nice bush 'fuck' was my only thought.

--Kayden's Pov.—

I heard her name get called and I looked to find her. That's when I saw the look in her eyes. I know that look, that's the one I get every time my inner self make himself present. I watched, as if in slow motion as she dropped her drink and ran. Before I even knew what I was doing I was running after her. When I came to her dress in the hallway, I couldn't help but smirk. 'What a messed up fucking Cinderella story' I thought as I kept jogging. I needed to find her, she couldn't be alone, not now, not if I was right.
