Anastasia was that girl that sits in the back of the classroom and tries not to get noticed. Anna would seem to be a regular teenage girl. She had long silver hair that in light seemed to have blue highlights it went down past her navel, but was always in a ponytail. Her eyes where the one thing she never wanted to change, they were a beautiful green with specks of gold and turquois. Her angelic face was always cover by either stray strands of hair or her hoodie. Nobody noticed Anna and she liked it that way, but one person did notice her and that would be her friend Lucifer. Lucifer was a giant flirt and had had a crush on Anna since they were 3. He had a soft emo haircut that styled itself. He had dark green eyes that had specks of hazel throughout. His body was tall at 5'11 and thin, with the occasional muscle when worked. Over the years they had become great friends and spent all their time together. While what you've heard so far sounds like a regular teenage girl, she had her own secrets. When Anna was young she found out that when she became over whelmed or had a strong emotion; anger, sadness, anxiety, or stress, her true form would take over; a cat. No one in her family could explain this occurrence they just found a way to deal with it. She wears a red pendent around her neck to help keep herself in control but it doesn't always work. The only other person to know of her 'condition' is Lucifer, but he would rather give up his life than tell anyone. In Theory Anastasia is a teenage girl with a secret that could change the world.
Kayden was the polar opposite of Anna. He was the most popular guy in school, quarterback to the Ferris High School Huskies, and had tons of friends. He was the most wanted male in school. He had a face so angelic that at first glance you thought he was a girl, but the second take was enough to show his rough edges that gave him his unique beauty. His eyes stood out the most; he could trap anyone with it intense amber eyes. His build was tall with muscles, but not overly bulging; just enough to show trough a shirt and give a preview of what no girl has ever had. His best friend Katerina was 5'9 with a muscly build from being a cheerleader. Her hair was a purple ombre going from dark to light. She loved Kayden like a brother and would always protect him and give advice when needed. Kayden had his own little secret that conveniently was a lot like Anna, he was a dog. Since birth when an emotion become too much his true form takes over and he becomes a beautiful full black German Shepard, Katerina was the only one outside his family to know of this. Just like Anna he had a crystal to help control the nerves, but his was a sapphire diamond imbedded on a piece of leather that never left his wrist. In the end Kayden was a regular guy, with extreme beauty and a secret.
Anyone who ever saw these two would say they didn't belong together, that was until prom.
**2 Weeks Earlier**
"Come on Anna! You know you want to be prom queen," Lucifer talked, as Anna sat there at her desk trying to focus on her math homework. She looked up from her multiplying exponents equation that made her brain melt, to look at Lucifer who kept trying to persuade her to run for prom queen." You know what, do what you want. It's not like I can win anyway," she said with a wave of her hand, thereby dismissing Lucifer and his ridiculous idea.
Lucifer made some sort of sound close to a squeal, and walked off to start on his newest project. He knew Anna wouldn't pose for new photos, but thanks to his handy camera phone he had plenty of amazing photos of her. He never could understand why she let secretly being a cat affect her popularity, and the way she dressed. She was beautiful with curves that most around the school would kill for, but she was always hidden under sweatpants and hoodies. 'That it!!' He thought. He would use the pictures from summer a few months ago, when she was wearing a little bark blue two piece that brought out the turquois in her eyes. She didn't know he took the pictures, but he did. Lucifer let his mind wonder to how lovely she looked that day.
**2 Days Before Prom*
Kayden made his way out to the field ready for a new day of football practice. His thoughts surrounding the Blue Bikini, as everyone called her. She was beautiful, the only girl he ever felt something for, and he had only ever seen her picture. He had tried looking for her around school but just couldn't seem to find her.
He was jolted from his thoughts when he was caught by a girl's voice. He turned to see a tiny little thing from the cheerleaders group. She couldn't be more than 5'0, she had platinum blond hair that fitted her. Her cough brought him from his assessment. "Umm, hi. I... I waas wondering if...if you would. I don't know... maybe go to prom with me?" She finally got out. Kayden looked at her and tried to figure out a way to let her down gently. "While I would love to accompany such a beautiful creature as you to prom, I'm afraid that I will be going alone and would like it to stay that way. Terribly sorry."
"Oh, okay. Mayne next dance" she finished and walked back to her group. Kayden's shoulder slumped, he hated girls asking him out, it made him feel so bad. He turned to his coach's orders to start running lap. 'so the practice begins' he thought, starting his jog.
_2 Hours Later_
Kayden had finally made it home sore and tired but knew he needed to iron his tux. He took a quick shower his thoughts lingering on The Blue Bikini. When he got out he threw on a pair of red basketball short and went to his room to iron his tux.
His parent where on a cruise as they often weren't home. After finding his tux he quickly ironed it and hung it up, the collapsed onto his bed.
--Anastasia's Pov. –
Anna was comfy on her bed reading to Kill a Mocking Bird, when she heard Lucifer's ringtone coming from the phone on her desk. She set the book down and walked over to the object, and answered it. "Come down stairs we have to go find you a dress." Came his overly bossy voice from the other end.
"What if I don't want a dress," She threw back.
"You need a dress and I'm paying so get down here. Now" Anna sighed and hung up the phone. She went to her closet and threw on a pair of black jeans and a black sweatshirt. She grabbed her house keys since her parents were on some cruise in the Bahamas.
Outside Lucifer was holding open the passenger side door and let her in. On the way to the mall they sat in comfortable silence, every once in a while singing a duet to a catchy song.
When they finally arrived they got a pretzel and browsed around entering occasional stores, but she never found a dress that called to her. When they passed by a small boutique, something caught her eye and she entered without further warning. There in the back of the store was the dress of her dreams, it almost seemed to be glowing. She could vaguely hear Lucifer trying to catch up after her sudden departure, but she quickly grabbed the dress and ran to the dressing room, leaving Lucifer to catch up.
--Lucifer's Pov.—
With her sudden departure he tried to follow after her but only got there in time to see her figure moving into the dressing room. He stood there and waited for her to come out and when she did, he almost couldn't breathe. She looked like a goddess sent from heaven.
--Anastasia's Pov.--
She took his reaction as a good one and stepped towards the full mirror. She could help but stare at herself, she looked completely different. The dress was a deep midnight blue that brought out her eyes and the highlights in her hair. The top was a corset that tied in the back, I accented her shapely figure while pushing her breast higher without fully being exposed. The corset was decorated in pearl strategically placed, that made it seem that she was walking among the midnight stars. The corset ended and turned into a fine silk that felt heavenly against her skin, and showed off her perfect legs as well as hips. The dress ended at the floor, and expanded.
She looked at herself again and then to Lucifer who was standing there like an idiot with his mouth agape. "This is the one" she said loud enough to catch his attention. He nodded his head dumbly. Anna turned and went back to the dressing room to change. When she came out, she carefully handed the dress to Lucifer and he went and paid for it, even after she tried talking him into splitting the bill.
After that they went back to the car and drove to an Olive Garden for dinner which Anna did pay for. When the night was done Lucifer drove Anna and the dress back to her house and left with a good night kiss on the forehead.
As Anna walked to her room her Thoughts ventured to prom night, and she could help the feeling that something big was going to happen, but she ignored it. When she got to her room she took a shower and changed into light blue pajamas and got comfy in bed. Her dreams were filled with faceless beings dancing impeccably in a dimly lit ball room, it all seemed too...perfect.
