Elsa's morning sickness was horrible for her. She couldn't keep anything down. Massimo had to put a bucket on her side of the bed at night because she couldn't put her prosthetics on in time.
After her first trimester, the morning sickness subsided. Elsa finally got some relief.
Also, Massimo had to make Elsa some new prosthetics because her legs became swollen. As the months passed by and Elsa's belly grew, so did her fears.

One night Elsa was sitting on the rocking chair that Massimo had made for her; she had a hand on her belly feeling the baby kick, Elsa finally told Massimo about all her fears she was having.
"I'm afraid of falling. As the baby grows heavier...I already feel like I'm losing my balance. What if one day that happens; I lose my balance and I fall?" She wraps both of her hands around her belly. "I don't want to lose our baby. What if I can't keep up with him or her? What if I'm a horrible mother?" Elsa begins to cry.
Massimo gets up and helps her up from the rocking chair and wraps his arms around her, holding her to his chest.
"Shhhhhh...don't cry my angel. Everything is going to be alright. I'll make you a walking cane to help you walk on your own or I can get your wheelchair if you prefer." He lifts her head up with his hand so he can look into her eyes. "You'll do fine Elsa. You'll be an amazing mother."
Elsa begins to calm down a bit but tears still roll down her face. She smiles at him and gives him a kiss. A few seconds later they break a part. Massimo looks down at Elsa's belly and says, "Was that the baby that kicked me?"
Elsa laughs, "Yes, the baby is very active right now."
Massimo helps Elsa sit back down on the rocking chair. He kneels in front of her and puts his head on her belly.
"I love you little one. I can't wait for you to join us out here." he says. He lifts his head and places kisses all over Elsa's belly.

The next morning Elsa feels a bit better now that she told Massimo how she felt. During their morning walk, Massimo held onto Elsa to help her walk. Elsa decided to use the walking cane around their house but when she was alone or outside by herself, she would use the wheelchair.

They sat down on the bench that was underneath the tree. Their tree; Massimo had carved their initials into it.
Elsa laid her head on Massimo's shoulder and closed her eyes. "I've been thinking of a name for the baby. I chose a girl name and boy name."
"What names have you picked?"
"If it's a boy, Augustus and if it's a girl, Gisela." she says as she opens her eyes looking at Massimo.
"I love those names you picked." he said giving her a kiss and placing his hand on Elsa's belly and rubbing it.
"I'm nervous Massimo. As the moment gets near...I don't know, I just can't help but be afraid of everything."
Massimo stays quiet for a while. After a few moments he says, "I have to be honest my angel, I'm afraid too."
"What are you afraid of?"
"I didn't want to tell you because I didn't want to worry you. But I'm afraid of not being a good father. And I'm afraid of not being a good husband."
"Oh Massimo!" Elsa begins to cry. "You should have told me how you felt." She sighs, "I don't feel so alone anymore."
"Elsa, let's try not to worry. We'll figure out everything as it comes."
"Yes, we'll take it one day at a time. We've been doing great so far, so it works." She laughs.
"Let's go back home. You hungry?"
"Of course! We are both hungry."
