JARED'S POV

I woke up to sunshine flooding into the room. I stretched out on the bed and yawned, then ran a hand through my messy hair. Swinging my legs off the side, I arched back to hear a quiet crack. I glanced over to the chair in the corner to see my shirt. I debated on wearing it but decided not to.

Chloe might like the view. I smirked at that thought and got up.

My sweatpants, I had changed into while Chloe slept, hung loosely around my hips and my feet became chilled due to the lack of socks.

I stepped out of the room and quietly went to mine where Chloe was sleeping. She was sprawled out in the middle of the bed, her head in between the pillows. Her hair fanned out like a brown halo and the blanket had slid down to her hips. I noticed she was wearing one of my shirts, and I felt myself smiling.

I went over to the bed and sat on its edge. She didn't seem to notice the shift in the weight but instead made a grunting noise and readjusted her position. She was smiling and I chuckled, thinking she was probably having a nice dream. I watched her for a minute or two before leaning over to kiss her, my lips barely brushing hers. I pushed some hair away from her face then got up off the bed.

I left the room, turning back to look at her one last time, then quietly shut the door. I went into the bathroom and quickly used some mouthwash to get rid of my morning breath, then used some water to fix up my hair. I ran a hand along my jaw and felt the oncoming of another beard.

Should probably shave soon.

I left the bathroom and went downstairs, I hadn't closed the curtains last night so it was bathed in sunlight. I went into the kitchen and began getting out things for breakfast. I smiled at the memory of last night when Chloe had commented on my cooking. Soon, the kitchen was full of the smell of bacon, eggs, and some toast. I prepared a pot of coffee then continued with the food.

"Morning," came a voice.

I turned around to see Chloe leaning against the kitchen's doorway, her hair was brushed and her face was flushed as if she had splashed water on it.

"Morning," I greeted, then raked the sight of her in.

She was still in my shirt which revealed her long tan legs, its edges just covering her thighs.

I felt myself swallowing.

I must've been staring too long because she began to blush and turned to leave.

"Shit, I better get dressed."

"No," I blurted, and quickly added, "You don't have to, I mean..."

Ugh, way to go Jared.

Her blush had deepened and my heart began beating rapidly. She began to unconsciously tug the edge of shirt down lower, so I turned the stove off and stepped toward her.

I felt her eyes take me in and my heart sped up even more as I neared her. I grabbed her waist and pulled her close, burying my face into the crook of her neck. She tensed at the contact, and her hands hung limply at her sides as if she didn't know where to put them. I pressed my lips to her neck and began peppering it with light kisses, she shivered and I felt her hands touch my bare chest. They felt cool against my bare skin and I shivered too.

I pulled away from her neck and looked down at her, her brown eyes still had signs of sleepiness, but yet she looked awake as ever. I leaned down and pressed my lips to hers, her hand went up my chest and around my neck, pulling my closer to her. We kissed there in the doorway, not moving, or stopping to catch our breath.
