CHLOE'S POV

Counting today, Halloween was only three days away.

Three whole days until shit goes down.

Three whole days until Jared and I do something that's probably gonna be the death of us.

"Chloe!"

I jerked my head up from the counter and looked at my parents.

When I got home, my parents ordered a meeting first thing in the morning, so all of u skids were seated at the counter,

Including Drake.

"Sorry," I mumbled.

"Pay attention, this is important," my dad said sternly. "Now, as you all know, Halloween is right around the corner."

We all nodded, I yawned.

"And the festivities here can get quite crowded, so..." my parents exchanged a look before he continued, "Being that there have been recent sightings of Montague activity-"

"What?" Drake interrupted, "Montagues? When?"

Dad let out an uneasy breath.

"Our sources tell us that there's a few of Montagues' agents in town," if I wasn't so tired, I could've sworn my dad glanced at me.

"Okay, but they just got here right? We can-"

"It turns out they've been here for over a month now," my mom explained, startling us, "The only reason we've managed to find his out was because of an unknown call a couple days ago that we managed to trace."

"Did you find their location?" Sindy asked.

"We were working on it until the call completely vanished as if it never happened."

"They used an Eraser," said Josh.

"I don't care what they used, I want to know why the hell they're here!" Drake demanded, his hand smacking the counter top.

"We don't know, and by the looks of it they haven't done anything...yet," my dad's face went grim.

"That's not the only reason we called for this meeting," my mom said, "Being that the enemy is in our territory, we want you to be prepared."

Oh my god, please don't tell me what I think it is...

"Starting after breakfast, we are going to the gym until Halloween comes."

This earned a few groans from us.

Me on the other hand was actually excited. I felt my mouth stretch into a goofy grin and pumped a fist into the air,

"Sweet!"

"Only you Chloe," Jill grumbled,

"What? I live for this shit."

A loud clap filled our ears, causing us to shut up.

"Alright, listen up," my dad began, "Like what your mother said, after breakfast we expect you in the gym, you all have half an hour... go."

We all began getting our breakfast, stuffing our faces with toast, coffee, and bagels.

Being me, I ran upstairs with a bagel in my mouth, already pulling off my shirt.

"Ugh, goddamn-" I collided into something hard, and fell forward.

"Agh! Shit!"

My shirt was half way over my head so I couldn't see who I ran into. I pulled it down enough to see and gasped.
