Angel

My mother told me once,

that angels didn't exist,

they were only legend,

a figment of a person's imagination.

And yet, I think she's wrong.

Because I look around me,  and I see angels.

The boy who rescued a homeless dog,

A girl who makes an old man smile.

But one angel shines brighter than all the rest.

With eyes so bright,

skin so soft,

and a heart,

Oh, a heart so open and warm,

You, my dear, are the angel of my dreams.

May the heavens make our paths cross once again, my angel.

I love you.
