Bryn's pov

Currently, I am staring at my wardrobe, hoping the perfect outfit would jump out onto my skin and look amazing. That wasn't going to happen. I don't have anything, only sweats and t-shirts that looked millions of says old.

Frustrated, I shove my face into my single bed, holding on to an old cardigan that I've had since I was about ten, and it still fits. I hear and knock on the door and politely call, 'Hello?' Just in case it is one of Marcus' friends or Marcus himself.

'It's me!' Jada calls back and I open the door for her, pulling on my ponytail. She has a plain black maid's dress on with an apron tied around her waist. I look at her quizzically. 'What are you wearing? We have to dress up for the ball!'

Jada shakes her head, rubbing her temples against her dark skin. She hasn't got any makeup on yet and it's obvious that she is tired. 'We're not allowed to dress up anymore.' She sighs, handing me the exact same thing she has on.

'Why not?'

'Because they need people to serve food at the ball and they want us to do it.' She fills me in, walking inside my room and sitting on my bed. 'They are pretty sure we aren't going to be the alpha's, or any of his friends, mates, so we are going to serve him.'

'Great,' I grit my teeth, scrunching up my dress in my hands. Having to serve the stupid soon to be alpha is not how I want to spend the rest of my life. He's probably some egotistical asshole that has no idea how to treat women. 'Just what we need, another working day.'

'I know it sucks, but we'll be out of here soon. A human life sounds good to me.' Jada smiles nostilagically. I nod in agreeement.

'Yeah it does,' I laugh, 'but until then let's get our maid on.'

'We have to help make the food as well. The ball is going to be in the pack house's ball room and outside.' She informs me, walking over to my full length mirror and fixing her hair.

'Oh, okay...what do we have to make?'

'I've been told the alpha like practically anything, so I'm thinking we just do a BBQ and help serve that. We can do a buffet thing but we can give out the meat and stuff.'

I nod, putting on my dress and grabbing my deodrant. 'Okay, well I'll just get dressed and we'll go!' I didn't bother with any makeup- there was no point dressing up for the people I hate. The alpha and the luna will be there tonight, and we're going to serve them, too. The thought makes me nervous, I used to know them both really well until I became an Omega, and now they treat me like I don't exist.

Jada and I walk down to the pack kitchen and check out what food we've already got. However, we're missing a bunch of stuff that we need to cook with and we only have five hours until the party where we serve over 200 pack memebers.

'I'll go to the supermarket,' I tell her, grabbing the pack's car keys. 'I'll only be twenty minutes. Until then, work on the desert.' Jada grabs all the ingrediants to make a birthday cake for the soon to be alpha.

Getting in the car, I drive to the supermarket and grab a trolley, ready to buy as much meat as I can. I stroll down the isle's until I find the meat section and grab everything on the shelves. It's lucky I have the pack's supermarket credit card with me or I would be broke. As well as the meats, I venture down to the drinks isle and grab coke, sprite and some other fizzy drinks because I'm not old enough to buy alcohol yet.

Without thinking, I drive my trolley into another person's. It makes a massive crash noise and both trolleys almost fall over.

'Idiot-' The boy hissed the same time I started to apologise.

'I'm so sorry I wasn't looking where I was-'

His smell hit me immediatly and butterflies erupted in my stomach. The smell was devine, but it was mixed with something I was too afraid to admit.

'Look up,' he demands. I keep my head down submissively.

'Alpha, I'm so sorry for running into you. I was just getting food for your ball tonight and-'

'Look at me now,' he orders and I can't withstand the power of an alpha. I look up skittishly, and the moment we lock eyes I realise who he is.

'Mate,' he whispers, reaching down to stroke my cheek. No. He can't be my mate! He'll reject me and hate me! I can't believe it! I thought I wasn't going to have a mate!

'Please don't hurt me,' I squeal. The soon to be alpha has dark black hair and piercing grey eyes that are staring right at me. He's at least 6"4 compared to my tiny frame I felt like a toddler.

'Why would I hurt you, beautiful?' He asks me, his cologne makes him smell like abercrombie and fitch, making me want to grab him and never let go.

'I'm sorry, alpha,' I start formally, I have to cook for his ball tonight! 'I need to go and get the food ready for your ball. I have to go.' I maneover my trolley and roll it towards the cashier, not giving him time to ask my name, or for me to ask about his.

I load all the shopping back into the car and hope he wasn't following me. I couldn't believe it! I'm his mate. I'm his mate...he's going to reject me. I know it.

'Wait! Please, stop! Mate!' I hear him running towards the car, his toned tan body chasing after me. I shove the trolley aside in panick and get into the car. I pull away and he watches me go, his eyes chasing after me as I leave.

Holy crap.

Axels POV

My mate. I finally met her. She was the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. She was so short and cute with shoulder length blonde hair and green eyes. I don't even know her name; when she adressed me she called me alpha, though, like she was somehow scared of me.

I just want to hug her tight; I can't wait until I see her with all the other girls later tonight so I can announce her as mine. I wonder what position she holds in the pack...she looks like someone who was medium rankings.

'Hey, bro! Why did you run out?' Marcus, my beta, asks me. He has my sprite in his hand and I receipt in the other.

'My mate,' I growl lowly, 'was in there. She ran away from me.'

'Oh,' Marcus walks up to me and puts his hand on my shoulder.

'I didn't even know her name.'

'Was she hot?' He ponders and I growl at him. My anger takes over and I know my wolf has taken over. Nobody talks about my mate like that; she is mine.

'Mine,' I grit, pinning him up against the wall. 'She. Is. Mine.'

'I know, bro, I know. I wasn't going to take her off of you. You'll find her later.' He tries to calm me down. I nod and let go of him, controlling my breaths.

'Sorry, Marcus,' I apologize.

'It's fine,' he reassures me. 'Let's go and get ready. I heard the omega's are doing a BBQ.'

My ears perk up in interest, 'how many omega's are in this pack now? I thought there was only one.'

Marcus nods, 'yeah, but when the beta and his wife died, their daughter was automatically an omega.' Wow. I can't imagine what life must be like being at the very top and being forced to be an omega. I think I remeber her from before I went away. I don't remeber her name, though, but we used to be friends.

'Yeah, I remeber her. What was her name, again?' Of course I remember Bryn. We used to be best friends until I left her. I'm hoping that she won't be mad ate when we go back.

'Bryn Matthews. She's hot, now, bro. But I don't do omega's. They're too lame and skittish.' He informs me and I can't help but feel butterflies when I hear her name. Bryn. I want to see her again. Maybe I could get her Omega titles revoked.

Bryn's POV

I arrive back at the house, my hands still trembing. I unpack the food and join in with the cooking. Jada places a fully baked cake in front of me. 'You took a while so I finished. You got the food?'

'Yeah.'

Written on the cake is his name in cursive writing:

Alpha Axel.
