Duane Coles
Queens, New York
*7 hours later*

I was sitting in the waiting room along with my mom and Coach Kevin.

A few hours after we got here they stabilized De'von but he slipped into a coma not too long after.

And Jay's been in surgery since we got here. No one knows what's going on with him yet.

I know exactly who did it and I'm planning on getting even. If it's one thing you don't do, it's mess with anybody in my family.

If people thought I was cold-hearted before, just wait.
I decided to get some air so I went outside and sat down on one of the benches.

A few minutes later I felt someone else sit down beside me but I didn't bother to see who until she tapped me on the shoulder.
I looked up and suprisingly saw Tiffany beside me.

"Wassup Tiff." I said nodding at her.

"What brings you here? You straight?" She asked getting a soda out of the vending machine.

"My brother and Jalen got shot." I mumbled.

"What? Are they okay?"

"We don't know yet. What are you doing here?" I asked, trying to change the subject.

"Asj started having contractions so her mom thought she should come. They're actually about to induce her now. I'm glad they are though." She said, sipping from her coke.

"Why?"

"She's been having some complications with her pregnancy. That's why I've been tryna get her to talk to you."

I contemplated on weather it would be best if I checked on her or not. I decided that it wouldn't do any harm. I mean, there's a possibility that the baby could be mine.

"You think she'd mind if I go see her?" I asked Tiffany.

"Only one way to find out." She said getting up, me following suit.

After we got to the 7th floor where the maternity ward is, Tiffany sat down in one of the chairs outside of the room.

"What are you doing?" I asked her, stopping at the closed door.

"I'm not going in there. She ain't finna yell at me." Tiffany said putting in her ear buds and turning up her music.

I knocked on the door and then entered after hearing the oh so familiar voice answer, "Come in."

"What are you doing here?" She asked, glaring at me.

"I just wanted to check on your baby." I said sitting in the chair.

"Oh so it's still just my baby?" She asked.

"Look, Asja ian tryna' argue with you. I miss you." I said grabbing her hand.

"Oh yeah?" She said raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah. I miss ya voice, ya hugs, everything about you ma." I said smirking as she blushed and tried to cover her face.

"I missed you too." She said hugging me. I pulled away and pecked her lips as she grabbed both sides of my face deepening it.

"I missed that too." I said smirking as she pulled away.

We began talking and catching up until Tiffany burst into the room.

"Wane, your mom said they need you now."
