Chapter 5: An Unexpected Issue

GDF Ultra - Security Prison, San Francisco
(3rd Person POV)
The former island of Alcatraz in San Francisco, long ago such down and bought by the Global Defence Force in 2005, the prison was refitted and upgraded to house the worst criminals the world had to offer. In 2010 the Hood the worlds most known criminal mastermind, tried using the International Rescue aircraft to rob major banks across the world, but was thankfully stopped at his first target in London. The Hood was taken to the local police station for a week before he was transferred into GDF custody and flown out to America to be housed at the Ultra - Security Prison for the rest of his life. 

Warning! Warning! Cell Block A To F Has Been Breached!
Emergency Lockdown Activated.
Intruders Detected In Cell Block C.
The computer announced to all GDF officers and guards throughout the prison, members of the GDF mobilized to Cell Block C and the surrounding Cell Blocks as Alarms blared from every direction.
Warning! Priority Containment Cell Has Been Breached!  
The computer announced, the priority containment cell held the Hood and it had just been breached which meant only one thing, that someone had come to break the Hood out of prison but who it was, was the only question as GDF men and women assembled outside the large metal door the lead to a suspended corridor that made its way to the centre of a very large room which housed the Hoods cell,
"open the door!" the prison warden ordered as the men and women unlocked the door and headed in groups of four towards the central cell, only to discover that the door to the cell had been blown open and the roof to the room had been blown open as well,
"god damn it, get me Colonel Casey" the warden ordered as a man ran up with a holographic communicator, the warden takes the communicator and calls the Colonel,
"what is it Warden Sharp?" Colonel Casey asks
"The Hoods Cell has been blown open as well as the roof to the room, sir The Hood has escaped" Warden Sharp answers
"this is not good news at all and just as my wife was taking over my position as Colonel" Colonel Casey says
"i apologies sir, what are your orders?" Warden Sharp asks
"track the Hood down, that man can not be allowed to be free among the world" Colonel Casey orders
"yes sir" Warden Shard says with a salute before the call ends, the Warden then turns to his guards and officers "you heard the man, track and capture the Hood" Warden Sharp orders as his men and women leave the room to find the Hood and bring him back to prison.

The North Atlantic.
Abandoned Liquid Alsterene Pumping Platform.
The journey from San Francisco to the temporary base on the long abandoned platform only took roughly an hour to complete and as soon as the Hood landed with his two right hand men he made his way to the control centre guided by Transom,
"you found a decent place" The Hood comments
"it was abandoned two years ago sir" Transom says
"The Pioneer explosion" The Hood says
"yes sir, we are on the abandoned Alsterene Pump Platform, and are using the technology on board to man our operations" Transoms explains
"No 0D-60 was detected correct?" The Hood questions
"correct sir" Transom answers
"excellent, and how is our plan coming along?" The Hood questions
"we have blown the FireFlash out of the sky, caused a lot of devastation in New York" Mullion states with a smirk
"and the casualties?" The Hood inquires
"300 killed sir" Mullion states
"fear from the people, i have a new target for you, the 0-X Mars Spacecraft" The Hood states
"which part are we going after sir?" Transom asks
"The Atomic engines currently under construction in Sydney Australia, i have it on good authority that the engine pieces are being transported to Japan in a few days" The Hood says
"same tactic sir?" Mullion asks
"of cause Mullion, make sure that plane arrives at its destination in pieces" The Hood states before turning to a monitor in the room " any news on International Rescue?" The Hood asks
"International Rescue were at the scene of the crash in New York, the distraction is working sir" Transom answers
"yes it is, soon we will have reached our goal, this last distraction should give us the time we need, Transom make sure that the bypass code is ready in time" The Hood says as Mullion leaves for the exit
"Yes sir" Transom says before getting back to work with the Hood over looking the control room, a sinister smirk growing on his face

Command and Control, Tracy Island.
(John's POV)
i had just gotten the call from Colonel Casey that the Hood had escaped from prison and had called my brothers except for Alan who was still recovering to Command and Control. This was a bad situation no matter how you looked at it, six years ago the Hood stole plans for a device dad had created to help control dangerous technology and move it out of the way, three years ago the GDF had the plans for a computer program stolen from their Archives base, after those two events we feared what the Hood was planning if it was him planning it. The escape of the Hood now proved my theory that the Hood was responsible for the stolen computer program from the GDF and that he was planning to use both stolen items in something.

International Rescue and the GDF were currently at a loose for what to think of the situation, i had messaged Lady Penelope and she had stated that she would look into it for me. I was currently looking over the stolen files from Tracy Enterprises to see what could be done in mean time when my brothers, all of them, came into the room,
"Alan you should be resting" i say
"We tried to John, Alan doesn't like the idea of the Hood being free" Gordon states
"alright but your resting after this Alan" I state
"I know, I just want to help in some way" Alan says
"and you will, John whats happening?" Scott asks
"The signal i pinged while you were freeing everyone in New York traced back to the Abandoned Alsterene Pumping Platform in the North Atlantic" I state
"so you've tracked the Hood down?" Virgil questions
"not exactly, it looks like a signal pinged from there via a location outside New York, once it pinged the platform it sent a signal to a device found on the engines of FireFlash" I explain
"what type of device?" Scott asks
"the NYPD and NYDC have come to the conclusion that the device overpowered the engines of the plane, the Thermal Nuclear Fusion Drives overcompensated for an error in the computer caused by the device, this lead to the Fusion Drives feeding more power to the engines then necessary overloading them" I explain
"until they exploded" Gordon says
"yes, until they exploded" i confirm
"why would the Hood be targeting FireFlash?" Scott questions
"The GDF is investigating the issue but I've been told to keep us on stand by if there is another accident like New York" i explain before turning back to the monitors and bringing up an image of how many FireFlashs were in operation
"we have our work cut out for us then" Scott says
"yes we do" i say as we all look at the image in front of us, we had our work cut out for us if we were to stop another accident from happening.
