The One (Sasuhina)

A Mission?

Shikamaru is heading towards my way as I'm wandering the streets. He then stops in front of me.

"Morning Hinata, aren't you up early, the hokage requests you." He says lazily letting out a deep yawn.

"M-Me? Why?" I ask hoping for a answer that will let me slid.

"I don't know, I'm only the messenger. And Hinata, you need to get some time to rest too. You're not looking so good." The shadow wielding states and then walks off, disappearing.

It's so early in the morning. I didn't think anyone would be out. I just wanted a pieceful walk before father woke up. Hopefully it's not a mission. Now don't get me wrong, I like helping and being a ninja but this past week I hadn't been getting enough sleep. I don't know why, my mind just keeps coming up with stressful thoughts. It seems like everyday I get 4 or 5 hours of sleep.

'What a drag' that's what Shikamaru would say.

I make my way towards the hokage's office knocking lightly.

"Come in" Tsunade says loudly enough to be heard through the door.

I turn the door knob and enter to find Shizune, lady tsunade, sasuke, and naruto.

Why is naruto here?

"Y-You requested m-me Lady Hokage?" I ask waiting patiently.

"Ah yes Hinata, I have a mission for the three of you to go on." She says.

"All right Granny Tsunade! Tell me, is it a A-ranked mission!?" Naruto excitedly asks. The hokage now has a cruciform popping vein on her forehead.

"Naruto! Calm down, it is a A-ranked mission but could possibly turn into an S-ranked. Now listen to what's going on and what you have to do." She says ever so calmly.

Naruto nods with a grin on his face. He looks so happy I can't help but smile. Me and Sasuke look at the hokage.

"I need you to escort a very important girl, the granddaughter of a king. She also carries a scroll with important information which is to be given to you and brought back to me. There will be ninja after both the girl for ransom money and the scroll for power. This is where you come in Hinata and Sasuke, the scroll has a barrier that only a visual prowess can see, it cannot be sensed. However, to not eat away all your chakra, I will be giving you contacts with a seal to be able to see it. If it is ever the occasion that they are lost or cannot be used, that is why I sent you two. You may wonder how the girl could see it, it is because only members of the royal family have a contract with it." Lady Tsunade finished saying. Guess I have to go since Neji nii is in a mission too.

"Why did you choose me to come too then? Is it because my strength and power impresses you? That's got to be it!" Naruto says with a grin.

A cruciform popping vein appears on the hokage's forhead and with a closed eye smile and chakra starting to flame out of her says "Yes Naruto that's got to be, it's not because I want you out of the village for a while or anything. Now be quiet." Naruto backs off with a nervous laugh.

She then tells us which village we have to pick her up from and where the kingdom is. Then we are dismissed.

I walk back home and start to pack my things. We leave tomorrow morning so I don't want to be stressing out too much. At home I do all my chores, prepare tea for father and by now it's 7:00 pm so I head to my room, shower, brush my hair, brush my teeth and lay down on my bed. I start to wander into my thoughts making the world around me fade away.

I could've sworn though that Sasuke was looking at me when we were walking out the hokage's office.

Must be my imagination. This mission is supposed to last about a week, it's a very long journey. What's more, N-Naruto-kun will be with me for a week too.

I start daydreaming and then my eye lids begin to close so slowly. Everytime they fall it get much harder to bring them backnupnagain. It's only 7:30 and the mission starts at 6:00 am tomorrow. However, I feel myself drifting off and before I surrender to my sleep an image of Sasuke pops into my head. Then I'm off to dream world.
