-May's POV-
I look outside the car window as we approach our town. A feeling of excitement shot through me, being able to be home, with no worries. It seems like all my worries disappeared, I can finally be happy.
It looked like we were around five minutes away from my house, and it was decided that Sarah, Ricky, and Derek would stay with us. Basically, it's going to be a permanent hang out/sleepover. Which, of course, is going to be awesome. "Hey May," Sarah talks to me from behind. "Hello Sarah. What's going on?"
She smiled one of those freaky smiles, which made me extremely scared. "So, what are you going to do about you and-" I cut her off 'cause I didn't want to hear it. "No," what I said was blunt and to the point, which she found funny for some strange reason. She brought the arm that was casted to her face, which was turning to a tomatoey red.
We all have casts that we have to wear for six weeks. So yeah, that's going to be a joy. They put Ricky and I on crutches for a week; again, that's going to be a joy. Thank goodness it's only for a week though. Derek and Sarah are lucky they aren't put in slings. However, there is one good thing about this, colorfulness.
We all got to pick colors for out casts, well the guys picked the colors, but colors are colors. Derek's is green, Ricky's is red, Sarah's is pink, and mine is blue. Shockingly, they remembered our favorite colors, so that's what our casts were.
While my mind went on this rantish sort of thing, Sarah was dying in the back seat, almost to the point where I was getting concerned. "Are you okay?" well, Ricky beat me to it. Sarah slowly started to come down and eventually nodded her head. By this point, everyone but Adam, because he was driving, was staring at her likes she was insane. At this point in time, she was acting a bit crazy. "Well, we're here!" Adam yelled, and I was jumping out of my seat. If Jason hadn't stopped me I probably would've been half way to the house. "You're on crutches, remember?"
For a split second I forgot. I sighed and slid back to my seat and heard Derek chuckle, typical. Ricky and I let everyone else go past and I let him get out first. Jason helped me out and I hopped as fast as I could to the house. While I was staring at it, I felt mixed emotions. Part of me, of course, was thrilled to be back, however, there was part of me saying that it didn't feel right. Jason told us to leave here in the first place, why bring us back to danger?
I push that thought out of my head knowing that nothing bad will happen because Mr. Larson is in prison. Pushing that thought into the back of my mind, I walk, well hop, into the house. To my surprise, I see Paul sitting on the couch. We all look at each other. We haven't seen each other in at least a month and I was starting to miss his gerbil. He starts to walk over. "I've missed you guys," we all smile.
"Alright, well it's late and you guys should go to bed," Mitch said. It was decided that Sarah and I will sleep in my room and the guys will sleep in the room next to us. There's a secret doorway I made that connects the two rooms together and we are going to se that.
Hopefully, future event's will be better and not have one of us end up in the hospital.
