To be honest, the rest of my shitty week consisted of drinking cheap $5.00 wine from a little market in San Jose and eating at a local Mexican restaurant called El Novillero. This is where I'd order a glass of water and some nachos while coming up with ideas for the Smosh Games channel.

Anthony was not replying to some of my text messages, so I assumed that he had lost his phone again. "Would you like a refill?" a Mexican waitress asked as she smacked on a stick of gum.

"Uh, no thanks." As she walked away, I left a 5 dollar tip and rushed off, ignoring every beady-eyed child that was staring at me; it was as if they were taking my soul away or something.. That restaurant was nothing but creepy.

Once I got home, I opened up the bottle of wine and just started drinking, not thinking about the consequences whatsoever. After five minutes had passed, the alcohol was finished. For the rest of the evening, I spent my time watching episodes of Black Butler on Netflix, until I heard the door beginning to open..

"I'M HOME!" It was Melanie. Her voice was different from the sober tone of voice she had last time. I could just tell she was intoxicated.

"How did you get home?" I asked her.

"K.. Kalel. She's a fucking ugly whore. She ain't.. ain't worth shit." Melanie suddenly got on her knees, dragging herself up the stairs while leaving a trail of saliva behind her. Yeah, she was sadly 100% drunk.

"Melanie, you need to stop.." I decided that it wouldn't help if I told her to stop drinking. They were just words and nothing more to her.. So I let her do whatever she wanted to. If she hurt herslf, it'd be HER fault. I was done caring for Melanie..

"BABY! I.. I need more.. I need more kush. Purple kush, baby."

I ignored her, lightly pushing her away as I got ready for bed. When I got to my bedroom, my phone began to ring. It was Anthony, so I immediately answered.

"Hello?"

"Ian? Uh yeah, Kalel brought Melanie home to your house and I'm sorry to tell you this, but the police are looking for her, man.."

All chances for a changed life completely vanished for Melanie. It was too late; Melanie was going to jail, and I definitely wasn't going to bail her out.
