*Dipper's POV*

I remember the day perfectly.

The sounds the car made as it tried to drive through a solid brick wall. The flashes of light as the paramedics showed up just moments after the police.

I gripped Mabel's hand in mine. The journal tucked safely in my jacket pocket as always. Waddles sat beside us, the pig was as trusty a sidekick as ever.

We finally let out a breath, our eyes resting on their tombstone.

"Come on Mabel, the bus is waiting." I whispered and pulled my hand from her's.

"Just, one more minute?" She said her voice cracking after the first word.

I nodded, my arm going around her shoulders. "We can do that."

She nodded and we spent just another minute with them, before turning to go to the bus.

'Goodbye California. Hello again Gravity Falls.' I thought as we got on the bus and rode off into the sunset.
