"So what do you think about life?" The man in the dark shades asked.
"Life... It's supposed to be something you hold on to and cherish. So why is everyone so sad in this world? I don't have time for negativity. Is it sad to say I've tried to be sad before? I don't think it worked. There was nothing to be sad about. I realized that I only have a short time to live so why spend it all being sad. I have a home a twin a mom and dad. I have a huge family.... It's complicated. When I was to young to remember my mom and dad divorced and both got remarried. They fell in love really quickly afterword." I reply safely. Trying to be cautious of what I say.
"You have a twin right?" He asks again.
"Yes she looks nothing like me and doesn't act like me what's so ever but..." I get cut off.
" Mrs. Madelyn, do you remember how you met Angelina?" That was a sore subject honestly I didn't want to answer anymore of these questions.
"Um... Yes. She was only 6. She really helped me out...." He interrupted me again.
"I never asked. Tell me your past. What led you to meeting her?" Now he hit the spot. Do I have to answer these dumb question? Then I realized he just said he didn't care.
"Well, it started with my sister and I...." its a long story from here. Life wasn't easy. But it got me somewhere.
It was sunny and warm, just like any other day for a summer in Jersey, Arizona. Its the sunniest town that I know of. My sister and I loved ice cream and heard the ice cream truck coming by. We grabbed our money and ran for the truck like mad men. I loved racing my sister because we were both in track. I always won though.
"I'll beat you there" I shout as I run to the ice cream truck.
"What if I'm already there?" she says as I catch up to her.
"I bet you cheated." I smirk.
"If anything you cheated. You started inning as you mad the challenge. So....." She says. What does she think. She's all knowing.
"yeah well you were running to so.... yeah." I had no comeback. My sister is the best comebacker in the world. She's also the biggest smart ass in the world to. So it goes both ways.
"Well. You pinned that one on yourself. No wonder why your the youngest Maddie. Your so immature." first of all I know how to have fun. She doesn't. She's a buzz kill.
"At least I know how to have fun. And I'm only younger by 1 flipped second." you probably shoved me farther in moms........." I was interrupted.
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever happened doesn't need to be said to the whole world." she's embarrassed. I sware she's the youngest. "Hey cover for me will ya? I have to get out. Dads never home so imam be off okay." ugh. I'm not falling for one of her stupid tricks again. "I'll bring you a little stuffed animal." She knows how to get me. "Or I could tell dad about-"
"No need for that, tight. What are we, in second grade come on. You wouldn't dare tell on me now would you. I mean for cyan out loud we are sisters, we are supposed to have each others backs."
"You didn't seem to have my back that one night when I ran out the house."
"You know exactly why.... ugh."
