I sighed as i looked at the teen who was resting his head against my shoulder. We were on the way home to the order and i had already told komui of what'd happened. A train attendant, female, knocked on the door. "Excuse me sirs. can i come in?" I looked at the sleeping teen.

"Um sure?" I watched the door slide open. "What is this about?" I questioned as a teen who was about 16 or 17 as she walked in. She had black hair that was semi-curled and styled to the side. She wore a vest and by the looks of the rest of her outfit she was in the uniform, the same kind I saw on the other train attendants. Her green eyes flashed as she saw the teen sleeping on my shoulder, or i should say formerly -sleeping- since he sat up the second the girl walked into our train compartment.

The way she looked at Allen had me on edge. 'Why did her eyes flash?' 'What was she?' Were only some of the many questions that flowed into my head in a second. I couldn't help but wonder and worry. Not only because of the injured teen next to me but also because it was my job as a bookman to question things I came in contact with. I know that not all of the questions though of would be answered but most of them definetly would be answered. I studied her and every tiny detail about her. There was more to her than what meets the eye. I was sure of that.

After a couple of seconds of study i glanced at the whitette bext to me. When I looked at Allen I noticed allens eye had activated. His eye only activated when there was an akuma around or Noah up to something.

"Your allen?" The teen trainattendent questioned at the same moment as Allen spoke.

"Akuma." He said and allen got up staring at the girl. 'Wait stairing?' Sure enough he could see. It was almost ad if it were back to the old days before everything happened. Before this mission. I had been suprised and second guessed my observation, but sure enough he could see. It was clear to anyone who walked in that he could see the girl.

"So you are allen then." The girl/teen/akuma/train attendant said cooly with a smirk. She waisted no time when speaking and coninued with out any interuptions or pauses of breath. "I was told by cross to find you."

'Cross? General cross? Akuma' it was then that I realized the girl must have been a modified akuma like chomesuke/sachiko had been.

"Who are you?" Both me and allen questioned. At the same time.

The girl responded sounding a bit aannoyed if I might add. "I am Amarylis." the girl told us.

'Amaryllis is the name of a flower' I noted to myself. I looked her over. 'That could be just a made up name and she is going to attack us after getting our guard lowered' I thought.

"How can you be her she was a-" allen started in a disbelieving tone but was interrupted by the girl.

'So Allen knows this akuma?' I thought to myself. 'Maybe she IS really one of crosses altered akuma'

"I am an exorcist still." Amarylis said with truth apparent in her voice.

'Impossible.' "How?" I questioned.

I had thought that she wouldn't respond but she did after a mmoment of silence. "My twin sister called me back."

'That's normal...'

"She had innocence, but didn't know about the earl nor the order at the time of my death."

"Makes sense but wouldn't the earl or other Noah have noticed?" I questioned, still disbelieving. I knew it was possible that even someone who did know that the earl was evil and would prey on them when/if they lost someone sell their soul to him. A finder i had met had done this shortly before O first met allen.

"and the earl never noticed i had innocence till after i leveled up" she continued. "When he noticed he put me in a deep sleep never to awake. Because you see, I had grown on him and he had started growing fond of me because I was different... Not like the others... And he couldn't destroy me out right nor would the innocence allow him to come near enough to destroy it. The earl was, however, close enough to cast a spell on me and i wasn't supposed to wake up till he had figured out a way on how to destroy my innocence." She paused making sure that me and Allen were still following along. We nodded and she continued.

"But i believe too much time had passed and he had forgotten about the akuma he had put in a deep sleep. And instead of waking up to be killed or modified by the earl i woke up when cross found me." She paused to take a breath and continued. "Now you see I hadn't known about the earl or exorcists or of the like when I was living, and neither did I find out when I was an akuma born of the earl with a instruction to kill and that was the only thing. When I woke up I could actually move my body with my will and I could actually feel things. Cross after making sure I wasn't a threat found the innocence residing inside of my body and told me about it. Explaining what Innocence and Exorcists were and what i had missed in my sleep. i was told he was a general of the black order. He then explained what that was since in fact they didn't exist when I was first created."

I looked at this girl. If it was before the black order and before the clan of the noah could destroy innocence... " You were made before the flood?"

The girl nodded. "But i was asleep high above where the waters ever reached."

'Damn.' "How long have you been functioning"

"I was awoken 14 years ago." Amaryllis answered.

This time when I opened my mouth to say something I was interrupted by the beansprout in the room.

"But master said you had died." Allen said.

"I had disapeared... that's why he said that." Amaryllis replied.

But this time her simple responce was off. I could sense something else happened than just simply disapearing. 'What was it then?' I thought to myself. 'Should I ask her?'

I decided against it however, because everyone does have something to hide. 'Like me and my eye.' I knew I wouldn't want to answer that to someone I'd just me... I don't think I'd even want the people at the order to know either. Not lenalee and not Kanda... Maybe not even Allen. "Why are you dressed as a train..." i asked instead.

"Because that's my current job" amarylis quickly responded. "Though now that i found you allen I'm going to be with you. Cross told me to follow you to the order."

I looked at allen and saw that his eye was still activated. 'What can he see?'

Allen yawned "you should get back to work. come back when we have to leave."

Amarylis nods and stands "alright. ill be seeing you in two hours." She exited the room.

allen deactiveted his eye and looked at me sadly. "I still can't see. Only the black and white world."

I pated allens head. "Its alright allen. are you still tired? You should rest."

"Yeah i am kinda sleepy" allen tentatively reached out and touched my shoulder with his hand and then set his head down resting it against my shoulder. i put my arm around him and he held onto me.

'Maybe him losing his eyesight wasn't all that bad.' I thought to myself as i noticed the shift in allens personality seemingly making him keep his hand on me the whole time. 'Maybe its because he's afraid I'm going to abandon him? Like cross?' After we sat down it wasn't long before allens breathing slowed down. i looked at allen and smiled "sleep well." I said softly then rested my head against the wall behind me and closed my eye(s).
