Chapter Ten

LIGIA

" I can't believe I tasted blood and I actually like it?" I said, the minute we landed in front of the door of my house.

" I know you would.", Slater then took the portal and shoved it in his bag.

" Dad....Sonya.", I called out, When we were finally inside the house.

The house was quiet. Too quiet.

" Dad." I called out again.

Nothing.

A wave of terror rushed over me, dropping me to the ground. Literally.

Slater was by my side before I know it, helping me up.

"What the hell was that?" I asked, when I was all the way up on my feet.

" I-I don't know." He stuttered.

"Well, whatever that was can wait. I need to find my sister." I said, making a run for the stairs.

I checked every room. Nothing. No Sonia. No dad.

When I was on the edge of giving up, Slater went on a sniffing frenzy. His nose landed us in my basement.

Behind one of the couches in the was Sonia and aunt Clara. They looked scared beyond measures.

Sonya attacked me with a hug, " Did Dad come back yet? He told us to hide."

" No. I didn't see him. Why are you guys hiding?" I asked, already knowing the answer.

" This lady, She came with these big, Red dinosaur like beasts and she attacked us. She said, she was looking for you, and then out of nowhere dad came. He managed to knock her out and made us hide here, and oh he told us to spray this on ourselves.", Sonya pulled out a tiny, gold bottle, "Although, I don't know what spraying ourselves with water would help or anything?"

I took the bottle from Sonia and throw it to Slater. He twisted open the cap and sniffed the bottle.

" Invisibility Perfume." He said after a long whiff.

" Invisibility? Ya mean that thing made us invisible?" My aunt Clara asked.

" Yeah."

" That's cool and all but, did you see your father on your way in here?"

" No."

" Then-"

I was interrupted by a loud Roaring sound, coming from upstairs, Then the sound of falling glass. Slater pulled out the portal, ready to leave.

However, the basement door flew open, and my dad came running in.

" Come on, we need to go. She's coming."

" Ok. Everyone hold hands. Quick" Slater instructed in his leader voice.

A woman and three Red, Dinosaur looking creatures, as Sonya described came running in but, it was too late, Slater had already pressed the button.

I finally got to see what Allyyon looked like.

We had teleported to my room.

" Is everybody ok?" I asked, the minute I took my hand back from Slater.

" Yeah." They all said in unison.

" Boy, that was Scary." My aunt commented.

A big smile came to my face. I've missed them.

" Group Hug!" I shouted, and pulled everyone into a hug, we were happy for a brief second.

Dad had ruin everything, His eye landed on one of the shirts Slater had left behind from last night's "Talks".

" Ligia, Why do you have a man's shirt on your bed?"

" What?" I scoffed, " Dad, that's mine. I told the queen about my love for big, black shirts and she went out and brought me some."

" Oh really?"

" Yeah."

Slater stood awkwardly scratching the back of his head.

My dad then pull the shirt to his nose and sniff it then went over to Slater and sniffed him as well.

" Does the queen know of your love for Slater's perfume as well?"

"Dad, Really?"

" I thought I could trust you, Ligia?" He said, giving me a disappointing me.

My heart dropped.

I hated that look with passion.

Something rang from Slater's pocket, killing the gloomy mood.

"So, I had a gym session scheduled. You still up to it?" He asked, after putting the object back into his pocket.

I looked at my dad one last time before saying, " Yes. I'm up for it."

Slater and I left the room.
