Ki Seongmi, the most subscribed to YouTuber and a variety show host, is invited on a talk show with many other celebrities and idols, including Bangtan Sonyeondan. What happens when Rap Monster reveals his crush on Seongmi?
"So you are going to sit right in front next to Seokhyoun and ask the questions written on the cards, but have some good banter throughout this okay?" I nodded to the stage manager while the coordinator flitted about around us doing my hair. "Banter is what I do best." Once my coordinator finishes my hair, I put my glasses on and stand up from my chair, giving myself a once over in the mirror. Satisfied with how I look, I saunter out of the dressing room behind the unnamed stage manager and into the back stage area where I am greeted by the host Seokhyoun. "Ah Seongmi, nice to meet you. I'm Nam Seokhyoun. I am excited to have you guest host with me."
"The pleasure is all mine Seokhyoun-ssi."
"Would you mind taking a picture for SNS?"
"Not at all sunbae."
Seokhyoun took his phone out from his pocket and lifted it up so both of us would be in the picture. Smiling, I put up a peace sign next to my face and gave an eye smile. Seokhyoun snapped the picture and began to upload it to his SNS accounts. A few seconds later my phone vibrated in my pocket with a notification from Twitter. Opening the app , I went to Seokhyoun's page before retweeting and liking his tweet; "Get ready for tonight's show with guest host Seongmi!" The response to the tweet was immediate and soon #HostSeokmi was trending on Twitter.
In the minutes leading up to the beginning of the show backstage became hectic with people running this way and that yelling orders across the room to save time. Someone, I think it was a girl, shoved a bunch of cards in my hands that had the questions on them for the broadcast before they ran off in another direction. "Damn, and I thought my job was stressful." I mumbled under my breath before going through the cards I held in my hands. The first card caught my attention because it was a list of who would be on tonight's show; F(x), VIXX, Apink, BTS, Girl's Day, B.A.P., Henry Lau, Jay Park, NS YoonG, and Ailee. I smiled because I know all of these artists and because my cousin, Henry, was going to be on today. "One minute!" The stage manager's voice rang out backstage and everyone raced to their positions for the broadcast. "Are you ready Seongmi-ah?" Seokhyoun asked as he took his place next to me just off stage. "I've been hosting Running Man for 3 years now and I was on Family Outing for 2 years prior to that. If I'm not ready by now then I should really get a new job." Seokhyoun laughed at this while nodding his head. Somewhere behind us a staff member began counting down until the show began and we had to go on. "10, 9, 8, 7," I take a deep breath in. "6, 5, 4," I let the breath out. "3, 2," I put on a smile that lights up my face. "1."
