Sans brought me the paper and pencils quickly. What did he bring me to eat? A box of Temmie flakes cereal. They were... Different, to say the least.

I sighed and nibbled on the fruity pebble like cereal. At Sans didn't poison them... I hope. Then again, Papyrus would get mad if he did, so he probably didn't.

Looking out the window, I stared at the sunset. I smiled slightly. It's the first one I've seen where I didn't have to fear the night in a while.

Papyrus came in at that moment. "HELLO, HUMAN!" I sighed and faced him.

"Hey, Paps. Can you call me by name?" I winced slightly ar his loud, as usual, response.

"OF COURSE, HUMAN. WHAT IS YOUR NAME?" He was bouncing with excitement. Again.

"Y/N. Just. Y/N." I smiled as he grinned widely.

"WELL, Y/N, I HAVE A SURPRISE FOR YOU!" My eyes grew in shock. He has a surprise for me? What could it-

"Is that a cat?" I forrowed my brows at the small black and white kitten he was holding.

"WHY YES! IT IS. ISN'T SHE CUTE?"

"Uh... I guess. But why?" He slowly handed it to me and it mewled in happiness. It looked terrified of Papyrus.

"I FOUND IT BUT SANS SAID I SCARE IT SO YOU CAN HAVE IT."

"Thank you but... Where were hiding it? Literally five seconds ago you were empty handed. Where did this kitten come from?"

"MAGIC!" With that, he left. What the hell? I don't understand these skeletons...
~*~
"No, Paps. That cat is scared of you. We can't keep it." I sighed and took a drawl of my cigarette.
"BUT BROTHER ITS SO CUTE!"

"Paps..." I warned. "It doesn't like the yelling. Besides, I let you keep the human."

"THE HUMAN! THAT'S IT! THE HUMAN CAN HAVE IT!" Dammit. I gave him an idea...

"Papyrus, why should-"

"BECAUSE THEY ARE LONELY BROTHER!" I mentally growled. This human was more trouble then they were worth. But... They had been through a lot...

"Fine. If they want it, they can have it." Papyrus ran off to give it to them.

Ten minutes passed. I'd better go see if the human took the cat or not. Getting up, I slowly walked to their cell. I would teleport, but I need to save my magic for the war and human fights.

Unlike that timeline where the human killed everyone and you lost because you wasted your magic? Dad asked.

I groaned. I hated that timeline and I hated it being brought up. Just thinking about Papyrus' death made me... No. I took a deep breath. Not today. I will not think about it today.

I looked at the human through the cell bars. They were petting it and giggling as it licked them. I smiled slightly. They actually looked pretty cute. Wait. Cute? No. They looked defenseless.

I opened the door and grinned at them. "Liking the cat?"
~*~
"Liking the cat?" I jumped and turned towards Sans. He was lazily grinning at me.

"When did you..?" I hope he didn't hear me talking to a cat...

"Who's a cutie?" I kissed its head. "You are! Yes, you are! What should I name you? Oh, I know! Oreo!" I giggled as she licked me.

That would be embarrassing. "I just got here. Like the cat?"

"Her name is Oreo and, yes, very much." I patted her head.

"Alright, kid. You have fun. Just don't eat Oreo." He smirked and I blushed. It was kinda childish for me to nam my cat that... But he had no right to call me kid! "I'll get you cat food." He was gone again... It was just Oreo and I.
