Part 4- Idiot Isa

It was a tiring day ever. I tilted my head to the side to have a final look on my piece. Enough for today. I thought to myself. I slowly closed my laptop and immediately got out from the office. I walked into Tanya's cubicle to asked her out for lunch but there was no sign of Tanya there. Lumapit ako sa katabing cubicle nya.
"Ate Miranda, napansin mo ba kung saan nagpunta si Tanya?" Tanong ko kay Ate Miranda na nagsha-shuffle sa mga papeles na hawak niya. She lift her gaze and stopped what her doing for a while. She pushed down her eyeglasses to look at me.

"Si Tanya?" She asked and I nodded my head eagerly. "Kanina pa umalis eh. Ililibre daw siya ni Paul ng lunch." she said.

"Paul?" I asked, my brow creased in confusion. "Sino po yun?"

"Yung bago diyan sa printing department." sabi niya at binalik na ang atensyon sa ginagawa niya kanina.

"Walangya, di man lang nagtext saken. Sige po ate Miranda, salamat." sabi ko at naglakad na papuntang elevator. I pressed the ground floor button and waited for the elevator door to open. Nung bumukas na ay sumakay na agad ako. I started to dial Tanya's number and waited until her phone rings. Nakailang ring na di pa rin siya sumasagot. I attempted to dial her for the last time. And shoot! Sinagot din niya.

"Screw you Antonia." bungad ko sa kanya. I heard her chuckle from the other line.

"What?" pagmaang-maangan niya.

"What mo mukha mo. Naglunch ka ng hindi ako kasama? Buti natitiis mo ko." I said with a fake hurt in my voice.

"Che! Ang arte mo." sabi niya sabay tawa.

"Sino pala yung Paul na sinasabi ni ate Miranda na kasama mo daw ngayon?" I said.

"Bagong boylet ko." Pabulong niyang sabi para hindi marinig ng kasama niya.

"Yan ka na naman sa bagong boylet na yan ha. Tatlong araw lang itatagal niyan. Ipusta ko pa yung pustiso ng lola ko." sabi ko na bahagyang natawa sa sarili ko.

"Ew. Kadiri ka. Kumakaen pa naman ako." sabi niya.

"Sa susunod na lalabas ka ng hindi ako kasama itext mo naman ako. Para may mayaya akong iba dun sa area ko. Ang sama ng ugali mo." I said ignoring her comment on my joke.

"Oo na kingina ka. Sige na kakain muna kame ni baby Paul. Kumain ka na rin." sabi niya.

"I hate you." sabi ko.

"I love you too friend." sabi niya sabay tawa ng malakas. Then I hung up just as the elevator door slowly opens. And by that, I saw a tall and slim figure standing right in front of me. Wearing a Salvatore Ferragamo glasses with a cup of tea on the right hand. She smiled warmly as she noticed me.

"Hi." she greeted as she lowered her eyeglasses to her nose.

"Hello Cristina." I responded with a small wave.

"How are you?" she said casually.

"Mabuti naman. Ikaw?"

"Same as the usual. Where are you going by the way?" she asked smiling comfortably hindi katulad nung mga nakaraang araw. She's a little bit uneasy after what happened to my place recently. Maybe she's feeling awkward on what she did. But it was just normal for me, I guess? Well, she should be used to kissed a girl because she's a lesbian. And nothing to feel worry about. Or maybe inisip niya lang yung naramdaman ko. We never really talked about the kiss. Even Tanya and the girls don't know about it.

"Magla-lunch sa labas." sabi ko.

"Alone?" she questioned.

"Oo eh. Nauna na kasi si Tanya." sabi ko naman.
