I went into the kitchen to check on my favorite maid, Rose. She's been with us for almost all of my life. She been there with me, ever since I was a little girl, she's like a second-mother to me. Although, I really didn't know anything about my real mother, I treated Rose like my mother. I can not even remember my real mother's name, how she looks like, talks, laughs, smiles, nothing at all. I have been living with my father and Rose in an old mansion, for quite some time. My family is really wealthy, for my father is the prime minister of Todburge. I really don't have much experience with how it feels like, to really have a real family.
My father mostly spends all of his time at work, and only spends some time just to see me, that's all. Just to take a glance, on how I'm doing. Well I can't blame him, he is the prime minister after all. As for me, I'm his only child and daughter, so I have to keep my head and heels high on top. Must be and act like a proper lady, to keep the Madison family on having a good reputation. Even though I'm pretty young as a sixteen years old girl, I must not be a disgrace to my family, now.
As I entered into the kitchen, I saw Rose preparing the tea for my father. "Is the green tea ready, Rose?" I asked. Rose has really curly brown hair and skin. Her eyes, for some reason reminds me of the color of fresh green grass. Her hair is tied up in a bun with her garment and she was wearing her maid uniform. Sometimes I really can't tell what she is feeling or thinking, just behind that smile of hers.
"Not, yet, Mary, I almost finish, you can bring your father, his meal, please?" Rose said in broken English. As you see, Rose isn't from here she has an accent. Even so, I can completely understand on what she is trying to say.
"Okay, Rose, I'll bring his meal to him." I replied. Today was a special day for me, my father decided to spend a whole day, just only with me. I can feel all of my excitement building up within me. "I can't wait!" I thought. I carefully pick up the tray with little mini sandwiches symmetrical in order of rows.
I slowly walk through the hallway that leads to my father's office. As I walk I saw myself in the long parallel mirror hanging on the wall of the hallway. I stop just then, to check on myself. My red long, flowy, wavy, hair was a bit messy, but that didn't bother me. My eyes were the color of the golden sun at sunrise. The only thing bothering me was my bangs hanging out from the side, it keeps on covering up one of my eyes. So I have to push my bangs behind my ears every so and then.
I took a very deep breath, and closed my eyes. I gradually open them up again. I quickly glance at the mirror, just one last time, and continue walking. At the end of the hallway, was my father's office. As I was getting closer to the entrance, I felt a very strange aura coming from his door. So strange that it felt like, déjà vu. Then I suddenly collapse on the floor, dropping the tray. I was unconscious.
I can't remember how much time I was out for. But I could hear Rose's voice echoing through my head. "M-Ma-ry, a-re you, a-lright?" It echoed. I slowly opened up my eyes, having a very blur vision.
"Rose?" I mumbled. My vision was starting to clear things up for me.
"Thank goodness, you, are okay!" Rose said smiling.
"What happened?" I asked as Rose helped me up from the floor.
"You, passed out, Mary." Rose said. " Came to check on you, and found you on the floor."
"I see..." I said still feeling nauseous. I placed my hand on my head. "What just...happened?" I thought.
"Father..." I mumbled.
"What was that?" Rose asked.
"Father!!" I shouted. I quickly ran towards the front door of my father's office. "Father!!" I shouted once more. As I swiftly open up his door. There I saw my father sitting down on his favorite grand chair. His body looked very weak, his body was covered with wrinkles, his eyes were closed, and he was smiling weakly.
"Father?" I questioned. I slowly walks towards him, and slowly reach out my hand to touch his hand. But when I did,...I screamed. His hand was cold as ice.
My breathing started to quicken, my heart was pounding really hard, I couldn't make things clear in my mind. Rose quickly entered into my father's office.
"What's wrong-" Rose suddenly stood there with her hands clasped on her mouth. Preventing her from screaming.
My whole body suddenly became very weak, my knees fell on the floor. My eyes grew very wide, tears suddenly started to flow down on my cheeks.
"Father..." I mumbled. "Please, don't leave me." Both of my hands suddenly grab my head.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" I yelled.
On that faithful day, my normal life was change by density. Or should I say, by someone.
