I stood there with Rose besides me as we watch Mr.Nickelberry and few of his police officers investigating my father's office.
Mr.Nickelberry is the only chief of the police department in Todburge. He's bald, has a very blizzard mustache, and not to mention, very short. But despite, on how he looks like, he's a very good, kind person. Mr.Nickelberry slowly walk towards me.
"Mary..., I'm sorry....about your father." He said weakly.
I tried to hold back my tears. "Don't worry about that. I'm fine." I said while showing a fake smile.
Rose looked at me worriedly.
"There's suppose to be someone here with us right now, but it seems he's not here yet. Honestly, that kid, causes a lot of trouble. Don't worry Mary, I'm sure he'll com-" before Mr.Nickelberry could finish, someone slams the door open.
He was wearing a black suit with a blue tie. He has a black fedora with a blue strip around it. He has short blue hair, and green eyes.
"Your late, Arthur." Mr.Nickelberry said, giving off a angry glare at him.
This person called Arthur, yawned loudly. "Sorry, Old man, I was taking a long nice nap, and I couldn't find this mansion, so I got lost." Arthur explained, while yawning again.
Arthur stare at me. "W-what is it?!" I said blushing.
"So your the famous, daughter of the prime minister, Mary Madison. Well that's a shame..." Arthur said.
"W-What is!?" I asked smiling falsely.
"I thought she would be prettier, but she's even horrible in person." Arthur said. "I guess things aren't quite as you imagine sometimes, huh."
"Excuse me?" I said still smiling.
"Well you can't blame yourself..." Arthur said.
"I guess." I said smiling.
"You were just born like that." Arthur said smiling.
I walk quickly close to Mr.Nickelberry.
"Mr.Nickelberry do you mind getting rid this person for me, right now." I said smiling while holding on to my anger.
"I wish I could, but I can't, he's the only one available,... for the time being." Mr.Nickelberry explain.
"Huh?!" I said surprisedly. "What do you mean?"
"Believe it or not, he's a detective. All the other detectives are pretty busy." Mr.Nickelberry said and sigh. "He's the only one available, right now."
"He's a detective!?" I said pointing my finger, at Arthur.
"That's rude.I have a name you know, Detective Blood." Arthur said. Arthur walk closely up to me. "Look, shortie, I don't know who you think you are, but you are kind of getting into my nerves."
"Hmph! If you don't recall, I'm the daughter of the prime minister." I said proudly.
"So?" Arthur said.
"S-so, that means you have to treat me with respect." I said pointing my finger at him. "Ha! In fact, as in honor of the Madison family, you may call me by my first name, Mary. It feels weird, for someone like you, around the same age as me, calling me, Ms.Madison."
"Ohh! I feel so honor!" Arthur said sarcastically. "Ha! In fact, in return of your honor, you may call me, also by my first name, Arthur. It feels weird for a shortie like you calling me Detective Blood." He smirk at me.
"So you like to play that kind of game! Fine with me!!" I thought.
"Alright, Arthur." I said crossing arms.
"Okay, Mary." Arthur said also crossing his arms.
An invisible electricity full of anger was forming between me and Arthur.
Rose and Mr.Nickelberry looked at each other worriedly.
I swear, this guy is the most annoying person I ever met!
