Chapter 5: When I'm Gone

THIRED PERSON POV

Michael stay in a hospital room waiting for someone to come in and tell him his wife was confirmed dead.

"Someone needs-needs to call her family." Michael uttered and ended in more tears

"I did earlier, they will be here in an hour or so... I just told them she was in a small Accident..." JJ whispered low

A small round nurse walked in with a face of shame and came and sat next to Michael, this is it she's gone he thought. She held his hand and smiled

"First of all I want you to know she is alive." Michael had a smile one for about 2 seconds

"But she is no where out of the woods she is very hurt so far this is what we know. She is in surgery to repair her punctured lung. Her right femur is broken, her left wrist is broken, she more than likely has some internal damage, and she has head trauma. As soon as he gets out of surgery she will get and MRI and CAT scan to revel this and then go to surgery for that. In theory and hopes that she makes it through this you won't see her for a good 12 hours but I myself will keep you all as informed as possible. I can get you all some blankets and such if you would like to sleep at all. There are showers on the cafeteria level and coffee down their as well. Let an nurse know if any of you need anything" Mr. Atha hugged the nurse and she walked out. Little did they know Nurse Kelly had lost her Husband and baby boy in a car accident

3 hours of community pain and crying Sean and Rob walked in and when they saw the tears and faces they didn't need an explanation... Micheal got up and hugged Sean

"How bad is she?" He asked in tears

"Barely there" and the tears clearly flowed from other grown men over their sister and daughter

A cop walked in the same sharif.

"I would like to inform you all about what happened" they all say down intently listening

"See Mrs. Atha was heading down Addisons Highway and a driver of a tractor trailer had a heart attack and lost control of his vehicle making in ver off his side and hitting her in the drivers side of her tuck. It was pushed off the road and she rolled 3 times. That gentleman who was driving the truck who had suffered a heart attack and broke his leg climed out of the truck down the hill and pulled her from the wreckage then called 911 them gave her straight CPR for about 8 minutes since she was not breathing and had no pulse, he says but there is no confirmation that she woke up but when we stretchered her out she still had no pulse. When she was air flighted we got her back and she's now in surgery. I have been on the service for a long time and never have I seen an accident so bad I'm terribly sorry for what your going through" he walked out leaving them all in shock

"That took something serious..." Sean said looking down

"What?" Bones asked rocking his daughter

"He had a heart attack and broke his leg, climbed down a hill got her out of a fucked up car then gave CPR for 8 damn minutes. You ever give CPR? It's rigorous shit to do takes a lot out of you... He killed her and he saved her"

No one said anything after that just sat

MICHEALS POV

It's not real none of it not a single bit, I'm gonna wake up from this dream and my healthy beautiful wife will be cuddled up on my chest sleeping soundly. It would be great if that were the case but it's not.... I can't take this hospital atmosphere anymore

"I'm going out" I said quickly standing up and walking to the door

"I'm coming with you" Kennedi said following me, ugh whatever no reason wasting my non existent energy trying to stop her she has the keys since I could not drive here...  I started the truck and I felt empty like I was just here just my body no soul
