Chapter Three: Melanie's First Job!
A New Member Of Fairy Tail
It was another day in Fairy Tail. Well it was my second. I stood in front of the request board and looked for a job that would pay for my rent.
Mirajane apporoached me.
"Looking for a job?" She asked with a smile.
"Yeah, one that would cover my rent." I replied with a smile. Mirajane nodded and pointed to one.
"Family in need help of rebuilding home. 400,000 jewels! This will cover my rent for two years! I'll take it!" I squealed with excitement.
Mirajane smiled, removed the poster from the board and handed me it.
"Thank you!" I smiled.
After Mirajane walked away, Natsu, Lucy, Gray and Romeo walked towards me with Happy.
"Hey Melanie." Natsu greeted.
"Hey guys!". I squealed not removing my eyes from the poster.
"Going on a job?" Romeo asked.
"Yeah!"
"Do you want us to help?" Gray asked while blushing.
"Sure! I'd love company!"
"Awesome!"

We boarded the train and Natsu immediately got sick as it started.
"Aww! Whats wrong with Natsu?" I asked worriedly.
"Oh, its okay. He just gets sick when he travels on transportation." Lucy replied. Gray walked over to Natsu and slapped his back.
"Relax!" Gray laughed.
"Did you just slap me?!" Natsu yelled.
"What are you gonna do about it?!" Gray yelled back.
"Jeez, if only Erza was here.."
"I am here." She said approaching us.
"Oh! Hi!" I giggled while Erza smiled at me. Erza walked to Gray and Natsu and grabbed their ears.
"If you two don't stop it and get along I will break you into pieces." Erza laughed eviliy. We got of the train and followed the map. Finally we found Del Rey. It looked like a great town, kids were playing and people were buying things at the markets. Everything looked normal until we seen the family. They were in tent and we apporoached them.
"Are you from Fairy Tail?!" The woman asks.
"Yes. I'm Melanie Ayame, how may we help you?" I replied with a smile.
"Oh! Thank goodness! We are a wizard family of the village Joule. Their was a massive magic-thirsty monster who stole all the wizards' magic in Joule. It destroyed our house and took the village's magic!" The man tells us.
"Where is this village?" Erza asked.
"Its North, in a valley!"
"So can you tell us more that happened?" Erza asked.
"Well we were inside our home, while eating our meal, then a big monster appears out of no where and destroys our house while draining our magic. For the sake of our children, we picked them up and ran while our magic was being drained.." The mother said.
"Wait! Your wizards?!" Lucy gasped
"Yes. Sorry, we should have told you to begin with. Please help us and the village out and make this monster disappear! We want our money and magic back!" The father yelled happily.
"Don't worry sir, you'll get all of it back!" Erza yelled!
We continued following a path reaching Joule. The homeless family told us that we would find the monster and its source here. On the way, Lucy opened the gate of Horologium and sat inside of him.
"Lucy, we've only been walking for five minutes and your already giving up?" Me and Romeo said blushing and smiling at each other after.
"But I wore heels. I wore the wrong shoes, she says." Horologium translates.
I sighed "Excuse.." I replied.
"Hey! My feet are really sensitive, she says." Horologium translates again. I responded with another sigh.
"Okay, here we are." Erza said before stopping us. We all stopped beside her and looked at the town. It looked Eerie and Silent.
"Let's go." Erza says again. We followed her down the path. All the villagers were coughing. One looked at us and made a 'come here' gesture. We all apporoached him.
"Could you be the wizards who are going to destroy the monster?" He asks.
"Yes, can you tell us what happened and how this monster came about?" Erza asked.
"The monster is made from advanced summoning magic. The caster is called Claire Atame. She summoned the monster and it came and took our power." He replied. Wait, that name sound familiar. He looked at me and his eyes went wide.
"Could you be..Melanie Ayame..?" He asks.
"Uncle Mansoi.." I gasped with surprise.
"You've grown to be a young woman." He laughs while I smile at him.
"Oh. Guys, this is my Uncle Mansoi." I giggled.
"Nice to meet you.." Gray said
"Yeah same.." Romeo said.
"Yeah.." Natsu said.
"What happened Uncle?"
"Your Aunt became thirsty for magic one night. She summoned a monster and tried to get me to help her but I didn't. Its to get revenge on your mother, Melanie."
"M-my mother?! Wait, the monster is the monster that attacked my home that night! Where is Aunt Claire?!"
"On Mt. Toukabay. Don't go up there guys, you'll be beat by her!"
"We are Fairy Tail wizards! We'll be fine!"
