I was chosen by OtherEvilTwin for a round of 13ness, so I will answer 13 Questions about myself, give some random facts about me, then tag 13 of you for another round. So here goes! :)
1. List a quote that describes you best.
Personality has the power to uplift, the power to depress, the power to curse and the power to bless.
- Paul Harris2. Have you ever tried a poutine? Did you like it?
HAVE I EVER TRIED A POUTINE?! I'm from Canada and it's our national dish, in addition to being the BEST dish, EVER! LOL
I live in the Caribbean now, so I haven't had one in a while, but I looooove poutines.3. How many books have you write, how many are "good"? Why so few?
Just one; The Contamination. It's not "good" because I basically just decided that I was going to write a book when I began college. There is no plan, grande scheme, or anything. I just went with the flow l, but now I see the error of my ways. One day, I will create a plan and edit it. Then hopefully it will be even better than "good"!4. How often do you talk to yourself?
I think a healthy amount... When I'm making plans, getting dressed, writing, cooking, baking, taking a shower.... Maybe a little too much?
5. Did you like the new Star Wars?
I actually haven't seen it. I was really young when it was popular, so I don't remember anything about the first few Star Wars movies, except for the quotes that everyone recites, and I would really hate to watch the movie and be totally lost.
6. If I asked you for a favor, would you make me pick up the tab at the end of lunch or would you split it?
I would probably just pay for everything. It's a lot better to spend money on food with a friend, than something for myself. And who doesn't want to be helpful? :)
7. Beer or wine?
Beer. I'm not sure if it's because it's because I've never had 'the good stuff' but wine sucks. As much as I would like to look sophisticated and classy, I would never make my taste buds suffer through a glass of the stuff.
8. Burial, cremation, or donation to science?
I have given this a lot of thought and I honestly don't know. I would like to help the medical field, but I remember reading about a young man who had sex with corpses, and I'm worried witches steal my body to perform evil rituals. So that's a definite no-no.
I would like to have my ashes thrown some where, but I know I would hate to be outside and breathing in someone's dead body, so I can't do that to other people.
The Bible says that Adam was created from dirt, so we're supposed to go back there (or something like that.... I think). But I can't stomach the thought of maggots and who knows what else devouring my body.
So I'm completely undecided.9. Most amazing personal accomplishment.
Well, I'm only 18, so there hasn't been much time to accomplish things as yet. But I would have to say making my mother proud, by finishing high school at 16 years old, with ten CXC subjects, making me the 2nd best student of my graduating class.
10. J.K Rowling or C.S Lewis
Harry Potter kinds of scares me, like I'm worried that I'll read a spell or something that will be real witchcraft and I'll end up possessed....
I really like C.S. Lewis because he immerses his reader in another world and its so captivating. So its an easy pick, C.S. Lewis.11. So if this writing thing, doesn't work out, what's your back up plan?
Well right now I'm studying computer engineering, but I think I'll study business next. It's just that business is such a useless skill if there's an apocalypse or something, so I'm hesitate.
12. If you were running for president, what would your main talking points be?
I'm not sure what exactly the U.S. needs,so if were running for prime minister of the island I live in, I would focus on bettering the economy by making it easier for entrepreneurs to start up. I think that if were more local businesses then there would be more employment opportunities and a lower cost of living since there would be less imports and costs incurred because of importing goods.
13. Favourite movie and why?
This is a hard one, if it were a published novel I would say Subterranean and Forrest Gump (although I was quite disappointed with the movie).
I really liked Mulan when I was younger. She protected her family, and saved her country. But i love I am Sam, its best movie ever! It has so much meaning, and never fails to make me bawl like a baby.
On a whole I like action movies with comedy and deep meaning.
