*Adam's POV*
I wake early, and get up with the kids to feed them breakfast, while Taylor stays in bed and rests.
She hadn't slept much last night after her anxiety attack, so she needed all the rest that she could get.
I wanted her to see a doctor about it, because she hadn't had a major anxiety attack like that in almost 6 years, but she was being stubborn.
I went ahead and made the appointment for her tomorrow anyway, but I hadn't even told Taylor about it yet.
She would probably be annoyed at first, but I knew that she would understand why I did it.
"Mommy sleep!", Luke shouts from his high chair, as he crams some dry Cheerios into his mouth with his little hands, and washes them down with the milk from his sippy cup.
"Yes, Luke, Mommy is asleep. Good boy!", I say, and Luke smiles at me happily, proud that his statement was correct.
"We already knew that Luke", Noah says smartly, looking over at his little brother from where the rest of us were sitting at the kitchen table.
"He's just trying to talk to you, bud", I say to Noah as I rub his head.
Taylor and I had been telling Ellie and Noah to be encouraging when Luke spoke to them, because he had initially been slow to speak and he still needed help developing full sentences.
"Can I go and wake Mommy?", Ellie asks eagerly, as she helps Noah unbuckle himself from the booster seat he had at the table.
"Let her sleep for a little while longer, Princess. Why don't you and Noah get your shoes on and go and play outside on the swing set", I say, walking over and taking their cereal bowls to the sink.
"But today is my dance recital and Mommy promised a long time ago that she would do my hair for it", Ellie says, starting to panic.
"You have a dance recital today?", I ask in a surprised tone.
Ellie's face drops, and I feel bad.
"April 25th, Daddy. Look, it's on the calendar. Today is April 25th", Ellie says, taking my hand and showing me the calendar that hangs on the refrigerator.
Sure enough, she was right.
It said 'Saturday, April 25th - Ellie's ballet recital, 3pm. Rehearsals start at 12:45pm'.
Fuck.
"Of course!", I say, pretending to know what was going on.
Taylor always remembered stuff like this, but with all the stress lately, I had a feeling she had no idea about this dance recital, because she hadn't mentioned it once.
I didn't want Taylor freaking out, so I decided to take matters into my own hands.
I quickly call Karlie while I help Ellie run herself a bath, and she's at the front door in less than 2o minutes.
"Where's Stella?", I ask Karlie, as I let her into the house.
"I left her with Joshua. They're doing Father&Baby Yoga this afternoon. It's so adorable!", she says happily, as she hugs the boys, who have come out into the hallway to see who was at the door.
"How's Tay?", she asks in a serious tone, lowering her voice so the boys couldn't hear as they ran off towards the playroom.
I had told Karlie what had happened when we spoke this morning, and she had been really concerned.
