He stood on his balcony and stared out to the city of Paris, he sighed and sat down inside. He was 19 years old and had green eyes and dark brown hair. Just as he was about to stand up and go to bed his youngest brother walked in.
“Hey, Zaldon. Father wants to see you.” He smiled and winked. “You know what it is about.”
“Thanks Cole. Tell me why we have to do this again.” Zaldon said standing up and rustling Cole’s wavy blonde hair on the way to the door.
“So you get the girl.” Was all that Cole replied with.

Zaldon walked down the wonderful halls of the Ryder mansion to his dad’s study. He knocked and entered, the study was quite amazing but Zaldon wasn’t really into lots of books so he didn’t really gape at it like Cole did. Will Ryder looked up from a paper he was reading. Will had a tan face and some wrinkles; he was like one of those old guys you would see in movies. He had a mustache and eyes that twinkled occasionally. Will motioned for Zaldon to sit, and he did.
“So you know what this is about don’t you?” He asked in a strong voice and Zaldon nodded.
“Yeah, tomorrow. About the girls and the judging.” Will nodded.
“Yes, I want you to pick a girl that you want; I didn’t have you come here so I could tell you which girl to choose. You came here for me to tell you that if you like this girl you are most likely going to marry her in a few years. Now, I know you don’t like the whole marriage deal and that, but, being the oldest you must take the first step of all the boys. They look up to you, so you have to show them the leadership of marriage. I know this sounds completely wack but, you have to pick the right girl.” He looked straight into Zaldon’s eyes. “And don’t you dare go all violent on her, I know you are very aggressive and if you are having a bad day you tend to take it out on the people around you. So just calm down, cause if she sees the violent side of you, she will freak out and dump you on the spot. That is all, you may leave.” Will’s gaze returned to the paper he was reading before, and Zaldon stood up nodded and walked out.
“I am completely dreading tomorrow.” He muttered as he got into bed and finally shutting off the light.
*~*~*~*~*~*
On the other side of the mansion, other people were having problems too.
“What am I going to wear?” A guy with gorgeous light brown hair asked, flipping through his closet.
“Clothes.” A boy with long black hair answered sarcastically. The guy with the brown hair shot him a glare.
“Ok look, I couldn’t care less! Ren, I am just wearing some good pants, a nice shirt, a suit jacket and some good shoes. That is it, nothing too special or ratty.” Knox said waving his hands. Ren frowned and then put on a thoughtful face and ran his fingers through his hair.
“Knox, you don’t even care about how you look! Seriously, I want dad, and the girl, to know that I care about what I wear.”
Knox sighed and stood up
“Look, it’s late and the judging isn’t until tomorrow afternoon. You have all morning to do things and if you need some laundry done then ask Cole. Simple.” Ren nodded and Knox left. As soon as he left, Ren put on some silk pajamas and crawled into his bed, then turned off the light.
But there still was one light on in the mansion. The second youngest brother, Finn, was practicing his smile in front of a mirror. He just couldn’t get it right and he wanted it to be perfect. Finn brushed his teeth for the fourth time and tried again; exasperated he slumped out of the bathroom and into his room. He took off his shirt and shorts and fell asleep in his boxers.
