Chapter 7

Chloe's P.O.V

"Beeeeeep, beeeeeeeeep, beeeeeeeeep- SMACK" I hear the "beep" of my alarm clock and smack the top of it to make it stop beeping in my ear drums! I groan and get up finding Josh on the floor with a pillow on his face. I remember our pillow fight last night and smile at the thought. I kick him and tell him to get up. He groans and falls back on the floor. I choose to ignore him and head over to the bathroom. I take a quick shower and then change into a pair of leggings and a white top with an infinity scarf. I put in small red earrings and comb my hair into a braid. I have long dark hair so I push the braid over to the side of my head so I can see it. I smile looking in the mirror because I feel much better today. I apply some light makeup. Just foundation, eye shadow, mascara and some light pink lip gloss. I grab my binders and stuff them into a bag along with a book and a pencil pouch. By the time I'm about to go get breakfast, I hear Josh groan and stumble over to the bathroom. I laugh and grab my phone and then head out of our dorm.

Once downstairs, I see a lot of kids! No familiar faces which makes me feel kinda shy. I text Ashley, "Hey, where are you?" In a couple minutes she responds, "I'm on my way down, ill be there in a second. Then you can tell me what you and McHotty did last night :)"

I smile and say, "Nothing interesting..."

Ashley sees me and rushes over to where I'm sitting. "Hey chickita!" she has a huge smile stuck on her face.

"Hey" I respond. I give her a muffin from my plate and she digs in.

"Okay so today I have geomatry, Biology, Algebra and then I got study halls, what about you?" she asks.

"Omg, same! Yay we're in the same classes!"

"Oh, yay!"

We both smile and laugh and continue to eat our breakfast. The speakers above us turn on. A deep voice says, "All students please gather in the lunchroom, repaeat, all students please gather in the lunch room, thank you" The speaker makes a 'beep' sound which indicates he's done talking.

"Huh, must be another greeting" says Ashley with curiousity on her face.

"Ya probably" I nod my head in agreement.

Josh's P.O.V

I get up and head over to the bathroom. I look at all of Chloes makeup supplies scattered across the table. I look at my watch and realize that I'm late. So I just change into a pair of jeans and a black shirt. As I do so, I think to myself, are Chloe and I becoming friends? Or...more than friends? NO, whoosh, get those thoughts out of my head. Chloe barely likes me...I think. It just seems like we're becoming some sort of friends because a couple days ago we talked for hours and we had a fun, playful pillow fight.

I stop thinking about Chloe and decide to grab some quick breakfast before classes start. I head down to the lounge area and grab a granola bar. As I eat I spot Chloe. Shes with that girl, I think her names Ashley. They're laughing and talking, Chloe looks so cute.

Chloes P.O.V

Ashley and I finish eating and head over to the lunch room for the announcment. When everyone is seated and quiet, the man begins to speak, "Welcome students of Yale for 2016!" Everyone claps and says, "Whoo!" Once the claps and laughter dies down he speaks again, "I just want to let everyone know that there are classes today and after class you will be picking your after-class activity. There are many different choices such as, drama club, yearbook club and we also have many sports. You are allowed to pick up to 3 activites only because we want everyone to stay focused on studies too. The classes you are going to are written on your schedule along with a map of the school so you can find your way there. Thank you and have a great day." He steps off his little platform and heads over to talk to some other teachers. The students disperse, including Ashley and I.

Once classes are over, Ashley and I head back to the lunchroom to pick our activities. I decided I'd be doing drama club and softball. Ashley is doing yearbook and drama club. I notice Josh also doing drama club and walk up to him, "You like acting?" I ask. He responds, "Ya, kinda, Im also doing baseball though." He gives the pen to me after he's done writing his name. The play is about a princess and a prince who are spoiled and live in a castle with many servants. In the end of the play they learn to be less spoiled. Ashley rushes over and grabs the pen from me, "I love acting, ah, the lights in your face, the microphone strapped to your cheek, the costumes..." She goes into deep thought and I snap my fingers to get her outta her trance. "Oh, sorry, I just really love drama." "Yup we can tell." Josh and I say this at the same time which makes us all laugh. Maybe Josh and are becoming friends.
