Part 6

I see Zack and he looks sad, I mean... we're all sad, but he looks sad in a different way. "Hey, Zack?" I ask to get his attention and he turns his head towards me and I ask "How you feeling?" "We... we...... ummm...... we.... we kissed!" he blurts out "WHAT!!!!!!!!" I scream, then cover my mouth "Yeah, I just leaned in and kissed her. She looked stunned and then happy. Then a few minutes later, she leaned and kissed me!" he says happily "So.... you're her boyfriend now, right?" I ask "Yep." he answers.
"You can come in now." the doctor says and we walk in.
Ashley is crying... was crying, now she is asleep, but when we walk in she opens her eyes "It......hur...hurt...s......sooo....b...b..ba...bad!" she weakly moans.
"Here, take this pain medicine." says the doctor, handing her a bottle. Ashley takes a pill out and swallows it whole.
"Wa...a...ter pa..lease!" she says, franticly and Zack runs to get her some water.
When he hands it to her, she quickly drinks it. "So... um, how ya fellin'?" I ask her "Well," she pauses " I guess I'm okay now. I think that pill they just gave me made it numb so yah..." she continues "She'll be able to walk in a day." the doctor informs us "Okay Ash, I'm gonna go now" I say and quickly add "if it's okay with you!" "It's fine" she laughs then winces "Try not to laugh much for a couple of hours" the doctor tells her while Zen and I leave the room. "Zen? Why did you come?" I ask, poping a pill in my mouth (🙃she has to take pills beacuse of when she got poisond and so there's still poison in her body.🙃) "I want to go on a date with you!" I smile and say "yes" hapily and ask him when we should do it.
"How about tomarow at... 1:00?" he sugests "Sure" I giggle because I'm going on my first date- with the man of my dreams!

Ashley's POV
I wake up and wonder if I can get up yet. I try to see the clock but can't. The doctor seems to read my mind because she says to me that I can go "Thanks." I tell her and get up to leave.
I decide to go see Laurel and play with her.
I get out of the bed groaning. As if on cue the docter hands me a bottle of pain meds and says to take one everyday at 1:00 until there are no more in the bottle. "Ok" I say thanking her for her help.
I grab my phone off the desk and call Zack "552-8789" I say out loud while I press the buttons on my iPhone.
"Hello?" says Zack "Hi babe!" I say back "Hey, um... could you like, um maybe come pi-" I break off laughing "What?!"he laughs "Come pick͓̽ me up at my hospital? Oh! And bring a wheelchair, please!" "Okay. Bye." "Bye honey" I say.

5 minutes later
"Hey Ash!" I hear Zack say as he walk down the hall. "Hi!" I say back. I stand up and get into the wheelchair.
I shriek as he pushes me down the wheelchair ramp and into the elevator.
When we reach the lobby he pushes me out and kisses me on the cheek. He grabs me a blanket and wraps me in it.
He kisses me again (but this time, on the LIPS!)

When we get to Laurel's room he leave and I kiss him goodbye.
I knock and think I can't wait to see her!
