After John Luke dropped me off at my house, he said that he'll pick me up at 7:30.

I was looking through my closet, trying to find something to wear. I soon found a cute summer dress. I laid that down on my bed and grabbed a cute pair of white sandals. I looked at the time and saw it was 6. I went to take a shower and soon gotten ready.

By the time I was done, it was 7.

I went downstairs and saw Miss Kay.

Miss Kay looked at me and smiled."I'm guessin' you and John Luke is going out on a date?" She asked.

I nodded, blushing a little."Yeah. He asked me out." I said."But I don't want our friendship to get ruined."

I heard Korie walked in with Sadie and they looked at me. Sadie smiled."Madison, you got a date? With John Luke?"

I smiled."Sure do." I said, smiling.

Korie smiled."John Luke told us about that. I'm happy for you guys."

I smiled still."But the problem is, I don't wanna ruin our friendship." I said as my smile turned into a frown."I'm not the type of girl who would just all of a sudden make out with her best guy friend, then say yes to a date. I'm scared of losing him altogether if this date doesn't go well."

Everyone in the house looked at me as I said what I said. Korie came up to me and rubbed my back."It'll go well. If he says that he still wanna be friends, then go from that. But if you like him a lot,then play it cool."She told me.

I nodded as John Luke walked in. But he wasn't alone. Emily was with him, holding his hand.

Tears formed in my eyes as I looked at them. I blinked them away quickly."You guys back together?"I heard Sadie asked.

John Luke nodded."She came over and asked for another chance. So I said yes."He said.

I stood there quietly. Korie and Miss Kay stared at me, worried."I...I gotta go."I said and quickly went up stairs. I slammed my door and laid on my bed, on my stomach. I cried into my pillow.

After what seemed like 5 minutes, I heard the door opened. I looked up and saw Sadie. She sat next to me as I sat up. She hugged me tightly."I'm so sorry, Madison." she whispered.

"Don't sweat it. I'll be fine." I lied

Sadie shook her head."Stop lying Madison. John Luke is still here. He wanted me to see if you're okay. Clearly you're not."

My door opened again and it was Emily."Madison, you're okay?" She asked.

I shook my head no."But its nothing." I lied.

Emily shook her head."nonsense Madison. You didn't act like that when John Luke and I gotten back together. Somethings up. Tell me."She said.

"No. it's nothing. I'll be fine."I lied again.

Sadie and Emily looked at me."Tell us."Sadie said.

"I'm... I'm falling for John Luke."I said.

John Luke soon walked in. From the look on his face, he heard what I said."Sadie. Emily. Can I talk to Madison, alone please?"He asked.

They nodded and left.

I wiped my face off and looked at John Luke after he closed the door and stared at me."What John Luke?" I asked.

"What you said.. About you falling for me, is that true?"

I nodded."But what's that for you? You're with Emily."

John Luke sighed."I know I am. But I didn't know you'll act like that when you find out." He told me.

I rolled my eyes lightly."Then why tell me? We made out,you ask me out, then come over with Emily." I said."This is one of the many reasons why I didn't want our friendship ruined. I'm scared of losing you altogether."

He looked at me."I'm sorry. But one day, I promise you, we'll get our shot. We'll be together one day."He told me and left.

I heard Emily tell Sadie to stay outside of my room and soon walked in closing the door."Madison, I knew for a very long time about your feelings for John Luke. And your close friendship with him. Well I'm stopping it. You cant see or talk to him ever."She said.

I looked at Emily. Then the door opened and it was Sadie."Emily! How dare you say that?"She said.

Emily shrugged and soon left.

Sadie looked at me."I'm spending the night with you. We'll have girl time."

I nodded and hugged Sadie."Thank you. You're truly like a real sister and best friend." I whispered.
