"So does my little brother know you skipped lunch to come see me? I don't think he'd me to happy." Chase said as he took a sip of coffee.
"No, and I'm hoping that we could keep it that way." I said as I sat across from Chase at the diner.
"Anything for you." He said with a smirk.
"So where have you been lately?" I asked.
"Around, trying to track the gang activity making sure they stay away from us." He said.
"And how's that going?" I asked.
"Good for now, hopefully it'll stay that way." He said.
"But in doing all that I've been missing all the drama that was going on around here. I heard you got a new friend, Hunter..." He said and I already knew where this conversation was going.
"You don't need to lecture me about how careless and stupid I'm being by working with him and talking to him your brother already beat you to it." I said annoyed.
"I wasn't going to, don't worry. But are you sure you want to do this? It's not going to be easy." He said.
"I know learning to fight isn't going to be easy, but I grew up in New York. Living there you had to know how to protect yourself so I know the basics." I said with a smirk as Chase chuckled.
"I bet you do, but the basics aren't going to help you kick Adrian's ass or help you protect yourself from a trained gang member." He said and I nodded.
"Listen it's just something I need to do for Adrian, and for my self..." I said.
"I know...and that's why I'm going to help you." He said and I smiled in response.
"Thanks so much Chase, you're the best..." I said happily.
"I know, I know." He said
"There's just one more thing..." I said.
"What's that?" He asked.
"You can't tell Adrian." I said and Chases eyebrow rose questioningly.
"I know it's a lot to ask and you really don't want to lie to your brother but please..." I pleaded.
"Ky why don't you ask Adrian to teach you?" He asked.
"Because he won't want to and if he did he'd be afraid of hurting me and I don't want him to be upset that I asked you instead of him..." I said.
"Alright Ky meet me at 335 Lexington street Saturday at 6 a.m" Chase said and my eyes widened.
