~♧NIKU♧~
"Niku, its time for your breakfast!"
A groan. "Kay, mum."
Niku pecked at her scrambled eggs, reluctant to take a bite. The days had been boring for her.
With every bite that she took, the food only got worse and worse. Finally, she gave up and excused herself, trudging to her room to grab her school bag.
Things were so boring. Everything was. Sure, she was fortunate to have a good house, good meals, and a good mum, but so what? She wasnt rich, she didnt even have anything to do. Just school, school and more freaking school.
Niku shuffled to school, looking at its plain walls and dusty window ledges that stretched out of the walls. She sighed. The gates were rusty, the corridors were narrow, and the tables were all vandalised. What a school she had.
"Good morning, children," the teacher greeted her pupils with the usual polite nod as she stepped into the classroom.
Everyone eyed her bag, where colourful files jutted out of it. Yellow means homework. Red means worksheets. Green means notes. Blue means projects.
And purple, which was Niku's favourite colour, means events.
The only thing that caught Niku's eye was her favourite colour. One of the good things that the school had, which wasn't much, was their events that they would sign up for every month.
Niku hadn't joined an event yet, though. She found too boring-- it was either environment campaigns, or annual math competitions. Weirdly, Niku found everything in this world too, too, too boring.
"We have an event today," the teacher announced as she pulled out the file, although it was pretty obvious.
"Its a rather special one, too. To celebrate the school's 25th anniversary, the school would be holding a public performance, in the nearby neighbourhood park stage."
Forms were quickly passed around the class, and animated chatter filled the classroom.
"It can be anything," the teacher continued," from singing to dancing to magic tricks."
Niku was surprised about the sudden annoucement. She hesistated, staring at the form. It would be a waste of time. But... time was her enemy. Boredom these days were making her explode.
She carefully slipped the form into the bag as the teacher continued her lesson. Guess this could kill time, she thought. And that's good, because time is my enemy.

"Welcome!!" The host, also known as the rodeo bull discipline master in Niku's school, boomed in the mic. A crowd had gathered at the front of the stage, their eyes glued to the big teacher.
The rest were a breeze to Niku. After the short introduction and a draggy speech by the principal, the performances started. Niku was sixth, which was actually quite a relief to her. She stood awkwardly in her dress at the back of the stage, wondering why in the world has she agreed to actually join.
"And now, we shall invite Niku, a fellow senior student of ours in our school. Let us be dazzled by her stunning performance!"
Niku felt her legs tremble weakly like jelly. Being the person she was, she slipped on a step, and had only time to let out a short gasp of surprise as she slammed her body onto the wall, the impact making her whole body shake.
Niku expected gasps. She expected laughter. But as she opened her eyes, rubbing her head,
She didn't expect any of this.
