//vaguely shippy lol//
Tim heard a small noise and jumped. He turned expecting to see something dangerous but relaxed slightly upon realizing it was just a squirrel. It was night which definitely wasn't helping Tims nerves and he had gone to his car outside the motel he and Jay were staying at to retrieve a spare bottle of pills he had forgotten there.

Tim shivered slightly, he hated the darkness. He quickly went back to the motel room and made sure to lock the door behind him.

Jay was right were Tim had left him standing in the middle of the room looking a bit dazed. Tim sighed. It hadn't been long since their last encounter with the faceless being at Alex's old house. Maybe a few days? A week? Tim wasn't sure of the exact time but what he did know was that this particular encounter had left Jay in a pretty bad state. He seemed confused or just out of it most of the time and Tim was almost constantly worried about him for some reason or another.
Tim had given Jay some of his pills and that seemed to help a bit but they hadn't been enough to snap Jay out of his almost zombie like state.

"Hey Jay, I got more pills I think maybe you should have some it might help you" Tim said in a soft tone so he wouldn't startle the other. Jay didn't say anything or make any indication that he had heard Tim or was even aware of his presence in the room. His eyes were unfocused as if he wasn't quite all there. Tim had expected this but was still disappointed at Jay's lack of coherency.

Tim Wales up next to Jay and gently placed a hand on his shoulder. Jay flinched slightly and looked in Tims general direction, though not directly at him.

"Here why don't you take these" Tim said placing a couple of pills in Jay's hand. Tim had found that the best way to get Jay to do anything, eat, drink sleep, etc, was to tell him to do it directly instead of simply suggesting it or asking him to do it.

Jay looked at the pills in his hand and frowned at them as if trying to remember something before taking and swallowing them.

Tim was thankful Jay had actually listened to him. Sometimes when it seemed to be effecting him the worst, Jay would refuse to do absolutely anything but sit or lay down somewhere that very often would end up being the floor. The only thing Tim could do then was pick Jay up and put him into bed so at least he was comfortable.

Jay seemed to be becoming slightly more coherent, he was rubbing his head with his eyes closed as if he had a bad headache.

"Here why don't you sit down" Tim said noticing Jay was swaying on his feet slightly. He led Jay to the bed by his shoulder and sat down next to him watching to see what Jay would do.

Jay opened his eyes blinking at his surroundings as if confused by them. "Tim" he said groggily as if very tired. "Where....we were....not here...and...wait no..." He was talking mostly to himself possibly trying to remember details.

"How much do you remember, Jay?" Tim asked hiding his slight bit of relief. This was the most grounded in reality Jay had been in at least a few days. Hell he was talking in almost full sentences.

"I...remember...we went to Alex's old house...and that thing was there.....it got really dark....I was on the ground and everything kind of went black" Jay was frowning as he remembered as much as he could. He sounded almost exhausted.

Tim was glad to hear that Jay could at least remember overall what happened. Not because it would have been difficult to explain but because it meant that he hadn't lost any huge chunks of memory again. At least not any extremely recent memory.

"Mm Tim I'm..im really tired Tim. An my. My head hurtss" Jay slurred a little and leaned on Tims shoulder. It made sense that Jay would be tired. Tim could get Jay to eat and drink for the most part but you can't really force someone to go to sleep. Not easily anyway.

"Yeah you should probably get some sleep, we both should" Tim said his arm still around Jay in a kind of protective hug. Jay closed his eyes.

"Ok imma gonna use you as my pillow then" Jay then turned his body and lay back resting his head on Tims lap before the other could say anything.

"Don't let Alex in ok cus I wanna sleep" Jay mumbled and Tim couldn't help but laugh a little. "I won't don't worry Jay" Jay smiled and sighed a little in contentment.

Tim rested his arm on Jay's chest. Jay was clearly still out of it and Tim worried about what he'd do when he woke up and came to his senses more. He worried about weather or not Jay would ever completely come back to his usual self.

Tim forced these thoughts out of his mind as best as he could. For now Jay could at least talk and understand him which was comforting and made tim feel less alone. Tim looked down at Jay sleeping hopefully peacefully. He absentmindedly took his other hand and ran it through Jay's short hair. He felt a little more at ease and wished that more things like these could happen instead of all the chaos and confusion.
