We'll Fade Out Tonight (A Harry Styles fanfic)

Chapter 1-

 Hello. My name is Lily. Welcome to my dysfunctional life.

My father has been in jail since I was 10 for child abuse. I am now 16 and I live with my now drug addicted mum. We can't afford much because all our money goes to drugs.

It was a Sunday night, as always I was home alone. It was around 10 o'clock meaning my mum has just begun her night shift. She works five days a week, three days two shifts, and two days one shift. It's the only way we can afford to live. 

I walked into our small apartment bathroom and stripped off my clothes. I hopped into the cold shower, trying to save hot water. I shivered and began to wash my hair. Once I finished, I climbed into my bed.

I grabbed my temporary escape; my notebook. I began to write. I loved to write. I wrote everything: songs, poems, stories. It got my mind off things.

I hadn't even realized an hour had passed when I looked at the clock. I quickly switched off the light and fell asleep.

I had school tomorrow.
