Moose's POV:

We're all getting ready to Portal to the City to find Tristan and Cordelia. Nadine looks incredibly nervous about using her Valkyrie powers for the first time but, luckily for us, Isabelle left a note on the fridge with instructions on how to set up portals. It requires some certain mixture and then Nadine needs to dip her sword into the mixture and then draw the Portal rune onto the kitchen wall, which is apparently licensed for Portalling. It doesn't make much sense to me.

Corey pours a mixture of herbs into a flask of dragon blood...which I have no idea how he managed to find in such a short amount of time.

"Where on earth did you manage to get some of the dragon blood?" Padge asks, very impressed.

"From yours truly," Vic huffs. "You guys owe me one,"

"So what exactly do I do with this mixture?" Nadine eyes it suspiciously.

"Well, most magic-users can just simple use their magic to make a portal...however it is possible for other creatures to set up portals. Nightshade, rosemary and lavender added to the right amount of dragon blood provides you with the basis. You can make a portal rune on the kitchen wall there. The wall has been enchanted to accept magic runes," Corey explains. "Now, your sword will act like a pen. Dip it in the mixture and then copy out the rune drawing your mother so helpfully provided us with,"

Before Nadine does that, we hear the doorbell ring. Everyone glances at one another...hardly anybody knows we're here.

"I'll get it," I volunteer. I speed down the hallway, not wanting to be too late to miss Nadine making a rune.

I open the front door and Lissa is standing right in front of me. It takes me a few seconds to register her and I feel like the wind has been knocked out of my lungs. She can't be here...how. Where did she go?

She's lost weight since we last saw her and she looks a lot more tired as well. There's a bruise on her shoulder and she's holding her wrist gently and wringing her fingers. Her brown hair is still a mess and there's a wild, unruly look in her eyes. She looks beautiful.

"Moose," she hugs me and buries her head in my chest. "I'm so sorry,"

"I- what?" I put my arms around her, very confused. "Liss, come inside...what happened to you?"

I lead her into the kitchen where everyone, minus Jamie, looks up in surprise. Nadine is as white as a sheet and Corey and Vic exchange suspicious glances.

"Is she another one of you weirdos?" Jamie asks. The bite on his chest, received from me, is very badly infected. There's not a lot of information on what happens to someone if a werewolf bite goes wrong...hopefully, there'll be answers in the City.

"Are you Jamie? Amy's boyfriend?" Lissa asks worriedly.

"Lissa?" Nadine gasps.

"I'm so sorry," Lissa looks down at her feet. "I had no idea what I was doing. It's getting hard, there's this voice telling me to hurt you all and to abandon you but I can't. I can't do it,"

"How do you know Amy?" Jamie asks Lissa.

"She kidnapped me and took me to where you guys are staying...Nadine, I know where we can find James, Annabelle, Cerys and Valentina!" Lissa exclaims. "They're up north, they've got a cabin in the mountains,"

"We're going to the City...you can stay here and rest-"

"No!" Lissa interrupts. "No. I'm fine, just scared. I barely escaped with my life...I'm probably a lot safer in the City,"
