Moose's POV:

It's been several hours since Corey and Matt left for the museum and everyone is beginning to get fidgety with waiting. It'll be dawn soon, meaning the sun will rise...and that means trouble for our favourite Vampire friends.

Most people gave up waiting for them to return and went straight to bed, so now it's just me, Vic and Cordelia awake. It's kind of awkward as Vic and Cordelia don't know each other very well and Cordelia is, well, more or less my ex-girlfriend.

"I'm going to get some wine from the wine cellar," Cordelia breaks the silence and leaves Vic and myself in her pristine living room.

Vic is twirling her hair around and her eyes are flitting around the room anxiously. I remember her telling me (ages ago) about some strange recurring dream she had been having with an Angel in it. I wonder if she still dreams about him.

"So what's your story with Cordelia?" Vic breaks the silence. "There's something going on there,"

"It's kind of a long story," I mutter.

"Anything to pass the time," Vic shrugs.

I sigh. "Well...you know that Lissa was gone for almost two years right?"

"Yeah," Vic nods her head. "That was when I met Nadine and...Jay," she says softly.

I feel a sudden twinge at my heart at the mention of Jay. I push away the thoughts going around in my head and try and focus on Vic. "Now look. Lissa and I were never a thing. I always felt something for her but Matt had gotten there first,"

"I figured," Vic rolls her eyes. "The way you feel about her is kind of obvious. But, please, go on,"

"I was devastated after she'd gone. But I moved on with Cordelia. She was really into me but I guess I was just using her to forget Lissa," I quickly glance over my shoulder to make sure neither girl was standing behind me.

People always seems to appear when you talk about them.

"That's a dick move," Vic replies. "Especially if Cordelia was really into you,"

"I know!" I clench my fists. "I know, dammit. I told Cordelia the truth and she left me. And I was on my own again-"

"You weren't on your own!" Vic exclaims. "You had me! And Matt! And Padge and Jay and Nad-"

"I don't like being on my own in that sense," I sigh. "So Cordelia had left me and Lissa never wanted me in the first place. Then when she came back it was weird. Of course, I didn't get to spend much time with her. We were taken to the F.E.A.R. realm where I nearly died and she showed up just in time,"

Vic looks like she wants to say several different things to me. "But did you even care about Cordelia? Or were you just using her the entire time?"

"Only to begin with," I reply. "And towards the end...but after a month or so of being with her I did genuinely begin to feel something for her. Then after a year I realised who I really wanted..."

"And now here you are with both of them under the same roof," Vic finishes up. "God, some serious props to Cordelia for not going batshit crazy at Lissa and you being here. I probably would,"

"What about you and Corey?" I raise my eyebrows.

"No," Vic insists. "Absolutely not!"

"Not even a little?"

Vic rolls her eyes at me. "I don't have time to be thinking about romance right now. We've got a world to save. Plus he's like a thousand years old so it would honestly be kind of creepy. He's just a good friend to me,"
