Amelia Wells was never the type of girl to fall head over heals for a popular guy. She scoffed at them every chance she got, which was a lot. To bad she made a fool of herself when it only took one basketball loving, seventeen year old to change her mind.
Truth is, Amelia has always loved to sing but could never find the courage to show it. Every time she tried to sing in front of people, besides herself, it ended up a disaster. That was why she chose to hide her secret talent and save herself the embarressment.
Until one day, Ms Darbus hears Amelia sing and offers her a callback. At first, of coarse, she denies it, until she realizes she's failing theatre arts. Amelia strikes up a deal with Ms. Darbus stating that if she agrees to take the leading role in East High's Annual play, she'll pass.
If only Amelia knew how much of a mistake she had made.
Suprisingly, getting harassed by the spoiled and snotty Sharpay Evans was not the worse part of the deal. Troy Bolton was, and there was nothing she hated more.
