She looked into his. She gripped the knife handle more firmly, ready to strike. It was him from the beginning... How could I be so stupid? A wave of anger invaded her, making the pain go away at the same time. All ends tonight. She felt a hand on her right shoulder.

"Joelle?" Marco said in a barely audible voice. "What are you doing?"

Without a word, she dealt him two stabs wounds in the stomach with a lively movement. Then, as the blade was still in him, she pulled the blade to his left shoulder. Marco moaned, looking down at his body. Blood flowed in abundance. He fell to his knees, clasping is hands over his stomach as to keep as much as possible. Finally, he collapsed on the floor.

"My God..." Christine moaned and sobbed. "What..."

Slowly, Joelle turned to her, an evil smile on the lips. She sat up to face her.

"Surprise!"

"But..."

The girl shrugged, still smiling. Christine tried to crawl away from her, but her heels did not adhere to the ground. A few drops of rain fell lazily on the two girls before the deluge begins. Joelle looked up at the sky, feeling the drops clean the blood that had splattered her likely. I can finally live openly! She raised her arms above her head, closing her eyes. She felt more pain. In fact, she felt much lighter. Freed at last! She turned her attention to Christine who was still sobbing. She cocked her head to the side.

"You still have not understood, isn't it?"

"He was on the road... This is what you told us..."

"Of course I saw him."

Christine thrust her hands into the soil became mud. Joelle felt in total control of the situation.

"I discovered many things after the accident."

"Some... things?"

"On who my friends are."

The confusion was visible on the young girl's face. I'm really not surprised she still understands nothing. Joelle let her think for a moment about what she had just said. Indeed, she understood some things to throw her friends knew. They were not as close as she would have believed. They each had something nasty inside. The façade had relented. They were not true friends. Christine began to sob, shaking her head. Her lips moved without a single word being spoken. Joelle let her languish a moment, but she still didn't understand why.

"The secrets," she said, shrugging.

Thunder rumbled in the sky.

"Friends should not have secrets."

"Secrets...? I..."

"We spent time together without really knowing who we were."

"It's... No..."

"Peggy was pregnant and Francis had been wrong. Laurie was unable to keep her legs crossed, but it was beginning to know."

Joelle took a deep breath before continuing.

"DJ was a hacker and Marco a drug dealer. Simon didn't want you."

"No! It's not true!"

"What do you know about that? He were hiding things. And you have a big problem: superiority syndrome."

Christine sniffed. Her lower lip trembled. The truth was perhaps more difficult to swallow. The rain intensified around them. Joelle approached the girl. She wondered how she was going to go with her. Knife, stone, tree branch... She couldn't leave too many traces that may incriminate her. She didn't seem to have left on the others.
