Story Two: The Rat

As you follow a chatting Tohru into the classroom, you notice some other girls talking excitedly to another student sitting by the window. Their purple eyes showed no interest in what the girls were talking about, but they had a small, but kind smile, on their lips. At first you couldn't tell that it was a boy, because of his feminine features. But as you walked closer, you realized he was wearing the guys uniform and you blushed at your silly thought of him being a girl. Tohru saw your blush and smiled, "oh, that's Yuki Sohma. He's really popular with those girls, but he doesn't really talk much to others." You nod and walk to an empty desk, putting your book and notepad onto the desk, still looking over at him curiously. Yuki had seen you two come in and walked over with a smile. You blush again when you think he looks like a prince and you quickly push away the thought as he spoke to Tohru in a quiet and polite voice. "Good morning, miss Honda. Sorry I couldn't walk with you this morning, Kyo was rather...unpleasant..at breakfast and I didn't want to get into a fight today." Tohru just smiled and nodded "It's alright! At least you're trying to avoid fighting with him." You looked between them, still stuck on the fact that he said he couldn't walk with her, you lightly touch Yuki's arm and he quickly stepped away. "Oh, uh..sorry...I didn't mean to touch you. Um..." you tuck your hands into your lap and look down with a slight blush. "It's alright...I just..overreacted. A little surprise to me." Yuki had an apologetic look on his face as he chuckled. You look up and smile too. "Oh, thank you. It's nice to meet you, Sohma-san. I'm (y/n), I'm new here." He nodded and went back to his seat.

After class you saw Yuki talking casually with Tohru and ran to go over to them. You didn't realize you're sneaker was untied and you trip slightly, landing on Yuki. There was a puff of pink smoke and you fell on your knees in surprise. "Huh? Sohma-san?" You look around before you feel a small touch on your knee and hear a quiet voice. "Um...I'm right here. Can you lift your knee? It's on my tail..." You look down to see a small white rat with wide purple eyes touching a paw to your knee. You lightly lift it to release his tail with a shocked expression. "S-Sohma-san? Why are you a small rat?" You backed up a little and he looked up at you with a sigh. "I'm...uh..the rat of the Chinese zodiac. It's a family curse..."
You shake your head in disbelief, than you look at Tohru, who was casually picking up his clothing. "Is this a normal thing?" She nods and stays quiet. She looks to Yuki and asked slowly. "Will she get in trouble?" Yuki sighed and shook his head, there was another sudden puff of pink smoke and a now nude Yuki stood before you. You quickly blush and look away and he quickly put back on his clothes. "Probably, hopefully Akito doesn't find out...she's Nice and doesn't seem like the type to go talking about men turning into rats..." he turned to your blushing face with a small smile. You look into his deep purple eyes and blush deeper. "I'm great at keeping secrets, um...is your whole family like this?" He shook his head "no" and turned away. "Only twelve...plus one other who is the cat from the folk tale...that's Kyo."
