Story Three: The Cat

You tilt your head in confusion. "The Cat? But there isn't a cat included in the twelve zodiac animals." Tohru stepped in and helped you stand, she was excited to talk about the cat. "The old folk tale says that God invited all the animals to a banquet on the first day of the year,  but the Rat told the cat that it was the day after the first day of the year. So all the animals, except the cat, were included in the party which became the Chinese zodiac. It's actually really sad when you think about it." She smiled and looked at Yuki, "am I right?" He nodded and looked to you to see your reaction. All you did was look down and sigh, "Well, I'm a (you're zodiac animal), and I've never really thought that much about it. Is there a cat in your family curse, then?" Yuki nodded and was about to say something when a loud and angry voice yelled at him from across the school yard. "'Ey! You damn Rat! I never got to give you a piece of my mind this morning before you ran off like a scared little girl!" You look in the direction of the yelling and see a red head in a boys uniform storming towards the group, steam practically coming out of his ears. "Oh, you stupid cat...making a scene once again..." Yuki sighed as he spoke, he also moved in front of you and Tohru with a calm and hate filled look on his face towards the yelling boy. "Come and fight me!!!" The red head yelled, charged, and then jumped at Yuki, but he dodged and kicked his attacker to the ground. "Kyo, please!...Not on school grounds,or in front of Tohru. She could get hurt again because of you." Kyo, the red head, growled at Yuki from under his foot and saw Tohru protecting you, he shoved Yuki's foot off of his head and he stood up, looking at you with a scornful look. "Who's this? Some stupid fan girl that doesn't know you're a wimp?" You took offense to that and tried to punch his nose in anger, he caught it and you fell into his embrace from your momentum carrying you forward, unable to stop because of your surprise. There was a sudden puff of smoke and you were holding a rather angry orange cat when it cleared. "Uh, whoops. I'm (y/n) by the way...Uh...sorry?" The Cat glared at you and suddenly yelled. "Put me down!!! Why the hell did you do that, huh?!! Wanted to embarrass me, right!?" You quickly drop Kyo to the ground in shock and he went over to sit on his clothes, still grumbling. Yuki smacked the back of Kyo's furry head suddenly. "OW! You dumb rat! What was that for?" He rubbed the back of his head with his paw, glaring and barring sharp little teeth at Yuki. "You were rude to her, she introduced herself and you completely ignored her." Yuki scolded him and looked down on the cat ruefully. Kyo looked at you in surprise and he looked down at his shirt under his paws. "Oh, uh..." He pawed the fabric shyly " Sorry about that, l'm Kyo. And because of you, dumb rat, now the Doctor has to wipe her memory!" Yuki quickly smacked him again between the ears, right before a puff of smoke appeared as Kyo transformed again, he quickly put on his clothes and glared at Yuki, ignoring your blushing face as you looked away. "What now! What'd I do for you to smack me upside the head?!" Yuki shot a look at him to make him shut up, he did in surprise and waited. "(Y/n) is not getting her memory wiped by Hatori, as long as she keeps the secret and Akito doesn't find out." Kyo raised an eyebrow and looked at him funny. "Really? Heck, if your trying to get under Akito's skin by doing this, I'm in. He doesn't even care about me anyways."
