~Kathy~
Today was the day the day that I'm finally leaving the small Pennsylvanian town, Bethlehem and go back to Orlando, Florida. Finally I can go back to the place where everything started and get what I've always wanted, revenge. Not just revenge on Macy but on the one person that started it all Toby McDonough.
"Nice glasses nerd"
"She's not even pretty."
"She looks like a man."
Those words killed me and what hurt the most, was the fact that Toby said it. Toby seems like a nice guy but once you get to know him really well, he would only care about his popularity. The group containing the "populars" were his main crew. They would constantly make fun of the outsiders and make them not feel wanted.
Macy Roberts was one of my best friends in middle school, she never cared about her appearance. Although she was a tad over weight. She was around one-hundred eighty pounds at the age of thirteen.
As high school came along, Macy started changing. She would constantly talk about her losing weight and started wearing different clothes, thinking it would take the attention off of her weight. But that plan backfired.
Two months after, she decided to loose her weight and lost over sixty-five pounds. So Macy went from one-eighty to one-fifteen causing boys to drool over her. Time passed on and then came along the McDonough brothers.
They were the "popular" ones of the school and with them being in a band, girls would constantly flirt with them. Connor McDonough, the older brother with breathtaking ocean blue eyes, blondish and brownish skater hair, and is at the height of five-eleven. Riley McDonough, the middle brother with gorgeous hazel eyes, black skater hair, and is the height of five-ten.
Then finally Toby McDonough, the youngest out of the three. He has beautiful brown eyes that'll make you melt and has light brown hair in the same form of Connor's and Riley's. He is the height of five-ten, but since he was just fifteen then, he is probably taller now. I've had a crush on him ever since freshman year and even though he treated me badly, I still liked him. Even now, after two years.
Before I left Freedom High School, I remember the four of them coming up to me saying the most unpleasant and meanest thing ever.
I closed my locker to see Macy and the McDonough brothers standing there. Toby and Macy were holding hands and it killed me inside. I wanted him really bad, but he would never like a nerd like me and he hated me because I wasn't that "popular" girl he wanted.
"Can I talk to you?" Macy asked.
I was now completely facing whole body to her and held my books close to my chest. By the way she was looking at me with a sympathetic look I knew something was wrong. "What wrong?" I asked.
She held on to Toby's hand and completely rubbed it in my face that she had him. It made me so mad, but I managed to stay calm on the outside. If it wasn't for me who convinced her to loose weight, they would have never gone out. "Look Kat you're my best friend in the entire world, but-" She took a deep breath and continued, "we can't be friends anymore."
I stared at her and said with a sad tone, "Are you serious?"
She stayed silent and looked down. A sigh escaped her mouth. Very rarely does anyone see her vulnerable like this. That was when I knew that she didn't want to be friends with some nerd, her reputation was more important . "Let me know when your reputation starts being less important to you." I said and walked away.
All through freshman year I was teased and bullied. Macy was no longer by my side to defend me. But at least she didn't laugh at me when Toby would make comments about me. Riley and Connor wouldn't laugh also, and they actually never made fun of me.
