Another day in school, but as they always say, Thank Goodness It's Friday!
I just have to get through 3rd period and I'm home free. I start walking to Jakes's locker to hear more about where he's taking Ashley for their first date when I see him talking to someone. A guy. A guy that I know. Oh my god, it's Alexei.
After about a minute, he turns and walks away from Jake and in my direction.
"Hi," he says while running his hands through his dark, black, shiny hair. I my knees started to get wobbly whenever I look into deep, icy blue eyes.
"Hey," I responded. I looked and sounded more confident than I actually was.
We started to talk for about 5 minutes until I told him I had to talk to Jake. I started to head toward Jake and he met me half way.
"So..." I dragged on.
"So..." he repeated jokingly.
"So, what do you have planned for your date?" I asked, playfully hitting him on his arm.
"Oh, I decided to take her to the beach boardwalk a few miles south of downtown. It's really nice and quiet and it has a lot of good restaurants," he replied. I could tell that he was really excited.
"Aww, that sounds really nice. She'll probably feel like she's back home." I replied.
"So, you think it's good enough. Will she like it?" He sounded worried, like he thought she wouldn't like him if this date didn't go well.
"It sounds perfect," I reassured him, "Besides, it's not the end of the world if the date doesn't go well. Ashley won't drop you if something when wrong. She's not like that."
"Thanks for talking to me. I was just really worried. Thank you for making me feel better though." I took a deep breath. He looked relieved, like a weight was lifted from his shoulders.

"Oh, there's the bell," I said, "We should probably get going. I'll talk to you after school."
I headed into 3rd period and took my seat. Through the corner of my eye, I could see that Vincent took the seat next to me. He slipped me a note. It was my tutoring slip.
"I guess I'll be tutoring you," he said.
"Oh, ok," he replied. I think I almost fainted. My heart started to beat so fast, I thought he could hear it.
"So, does after school work for you?" He stared at me with those beautiful eyes that made me melt every time I looked into them.
"Yeah, sure," I answered. "How does 5 sound?" I asked him.
"Perfect," he replied with a sly smile.
