Damian's POV

I was waiting for Grayson to return from patrol and I was starting to get worried. Father returned an hour ago and still no word from Grayson

"Father? Where is Grayson?"

"Just on patrol Damian"

"Still? He's been gone for a long time."

"He had to do something."

"Was it dangerous?"

"Yes, but he'll be fine. Just wait Damian" and I did wait. I waited for 4 hours. No sign of him. He better not be-no. That is a terrible thought. He is strong and won't give up easily.

It was daylight and he still wasn't back. I didn't sleep one bit last night because I was so......anxious.

Here I am, 24 hours later and he hasn't sent anything. Not a distress call, no warning, not even a radio signal. Nothing. Even though Father told me it was nothing, I still wanted to know he didn't go and do something stupid like get himself killed.

It was 4 hours later when I finally fell asleep, worried, but I slept a little.

Dick's POV

I finally got back. It was like 4 in the morning and that task was long and boring!

I walked into the cave quietly because I didn't wanna wake anyone. I took my mask off. I straitened my hair up and was about to check on all the cameras I've been setting up. When reached the chair, someone else was already there. I little 10 year old who looked as if this was the first sleep he has gotten since yesterday.

I laughed quietly and lifted from the desk. I carried him to his room and laid him in bed. I put him under the covers and whispered in his ear.

"Goodnight Damian. I'm okay"

Damian's POV

I felt someone pick me up and wake me from my light sleep. At first I thought it was Father or Pennyworth but it just felt different. Their hold felt warm and made me feel calm and safe. When I was set in my bed, I heard them lean in.

"Goodnight Damian. I'm okay" it was Grayson! I smiled right after he left and fell asleep.
