Taking the blame

Damian's POV

Drake and Todd were laughing as they called me all sorts of names. Like, Demon spawn and monster.

Drake pushed me and I fell backwards. I bumped into a table and broke a priceless vase over.

"Oh! You're in trouble!"

"What happened!?" Father came in at the worst possible time. The case was shattered and I was on the ground.

"Damian did it!" Todd pointed to me.

"Damian, you're grounded."

"But it wasn't my fault Father!"

Father glared at me. "Room. Now. No patrol for now."

"What!  For how long?!"

"Until I say so! Now, room!" I ran to my room and slammed the door. I buried my face into my knees. I can't believe Father believed those idiots. I did feel awful for knocking the vase over and the fact I am grounded for something the was completely my fault, wasn't helping.

Tim's POV

Damian was just grounded for somethings me and Jason caused. I hate the kid but he can't take the heat for this.

"Jason, we shouldn't have let Damian get grounded for something we did" Jason looked at me like I just told him something unbelievable.

"We didn't knock it over. We didn't fall into the table"

"But we pushed Damian into the table causing it to knock over. It wasn't his fault."

"Bruce already punished the kid. It's done now."

"But he didn't do it"

"Look. If you wanna go tell Bruce you did it by all means. Just don't bring me up." Jason walked away. I did push him but Jason was edged me on.

Jason leaned into my ear when I was in the zone. "Push him" so I did. I reacted in a way that seemed okay.

I shouldn't have pushed him into the table. I shouldn't have pushed him at all. Why were we even teasing the kid? I think we just ganged up on him. Wow, when I say it that way we sound like bullies.

I looked in Bruce's office and he was sure enough there. "Bruce, you shouldn't punish Damian" he looked shocked.

"Why not?"

"Because me and Jason were teasing him and Jason told me to push him so I did. I know, I'm responsible for my own actions. But, don't punish Damian for something me and Jason, actually I caused." Bruce thought for a moment.

"You are grounded then. You and Jason. Tell Damian he's not grounded" shoot, he's punishing Jason.

"Not Jason! He isn't the one who pushed him!" Bruce could sense the fear in my voice.

"Jason told you not to bring him up didn't he?" I nodded.

"He still was teasing Damian. Go tell Damian he isn't grounded" I nodded again and ran to Damian's room.

Damian's POV

I can't believe I'm getting blamed for this! They ganged up on me and I didn't even fight back for once! Why am I in trouble! I heard a knock at the door and then I saw Drake.   

"Came to brag how you got away with that?" Drake shook his head.

"The opposite actually. You're not grounded. Me and Jason are. I told Bruce what really happened and he let you go." Drake helped me?

"Are you being serious?"

"Yeah. Just stay clear of Jason. He's gonna be mad." I nodded and ran out of my room. Drake took the blame. He cares
