Chapter 4:
*******************************************************************************************
Veronica walked for half an hour until she had to think about what the lady meant by sunset. Then it clicked to her. The address she was texted must be where she is expected to be by sunset. But who was expecting her? She quickly opened up her phone to the text and called a cab to get her there. "34 Raymond Street, 2529" she told the driver.
After half a hour the cab came to a halt. She had arrived...
Full of curiosity, Veronica stepped out of the cab and walked towards the brown, worn out door in front of her. How did the lady from the hotel know this information? Was she trying to set her up? Whatever it was, Veronica was standing outside of the door waiting to see what was lying upon the other side... *Ding Dong*
No answer.
Veronica looks around to pass time although her eyes slowly fall upon a shiny metal amongst the garden. She walks closer and closer to it until she can make out it was a gold key. Was this for her? She picks up the key and reads a number on the back. 0405984326.
"A phone number?" Veronica questioned herself. She takes out her phone and dials the number.
*Ring ring*... "I've been expecting your call" said the man that answered.
"Who is this?" asked Veronica anxiously.
"I know you killed him. Why?" asked the man.
"What do you want from me?" screamed Victoria.
And all he said was revenge.
