"A beautiful world... God's masterpiece filled with chaos" I said to myself as I lay my head down on the ground... wondering. Will my life stay the same? Will it ever change? As I gaze upon the dark night sky enlightened, brightened, dazzled, lit with twinkling stars, I began to doze off into sleep. Silence. Dead silence. That's what I love about the world. When it all just goes peacefully silent.
I felt my body lift up as I began to fall asleep. <BOOM> "What in the hell was that?". I stood up, not being able to contain my consciousness. I looked up at the sky seeing a silhouette of blue streaks in the sky. I buckled my sword and ran as fast as I could back home when I heard a boy's wail.
"ARGH, F*CK YOU AND YOUR TENTACLES!".
Being the kind of person that I am, I ran towards the sound of the boy. It seemed to be coming from the explosion. Hmm.
I coughed and puffed because of all the smoke around me. I waited 'till it was clear until I got any closer. When it did get clear, I see a naked kid with glowing blue eyes holding the head of a dead polymame.
I asked "Hey, kid. You all right?" but silence was the reply I received. Never have I thought that silence would be this awful in any situation. Unsatisfied, I crept closer to him, keeping a defensive stance. He's scared. He looks pale. What the hell is he? His glowing blue eyes started to dim, making him look even more human. I can see fear in his eyes.
"I'm all right. I can manage."
"You look kinda pale."
"Where am I?"
"Where else, kid? You're in Paladom."
"Pa... Paladom?"
"You're not from here, are you? By the f*ckin' way where the hell did you come from?"
"I... don't... remember. I can't remember anything."
Weird. He was weird. But I couldn't leave him there. Obviously. So, I took him to my castle.
The way home wasn't easy.
As we walked slowly, finding our way across the rubble, I kept thinking about that awfully familiar necklace. I took one last glance back at the destruction and took a deep breath. Along the way to his house, this man seemed pretty relaxed. Only now, do I realize that this man isn't a man but a simple boy. A 12 year old boy. With armor, yes, but that was pretty common around here. Maybe he's part of some crusade family?
You know those awkward silences whenever you're with somebody but there's nothing to talk about? One of my hatest silences EVER. Finally, he decided to break the ice. In the worst way possible.
"So, what's your name, kid? And what were you doing along the fields at this time?".
"I am Cory Morsane. I was just about to go home and I heard you. By the way, who are YOU to be calling me a kid?".
"Age is not a statement for who is better. Maturity is. And, I kind of like calling everybody kid."
"Fine, then. So, anyways, what's with that necklace? I feel like i've seen that before."
"Oh, this? <points at necklace> This is the sign of my family's guild. The Pegasus."
Then it hit me, this necklace shows that you're part of a guild. And this PARTICULAR guild was the one who started the great war between the Pegasii and the Aries (my family's guild)
