The Next Day 10:28 a.m.

"Sam, Avery, and Ari. Cate and Julia need you down stairs dressed and ready in 7 minutes." Lacey says to us as she walks into Avery and I's room.

We look over at Lacey confused.

"Why?" Ari asks.

"I'm not sure, she didn't explain why, she just said it's urgent." Lacey explains.

Ari, Avery and I look at one another with worried expressions.

"Alright, tell her we'll be down in a sec." Avery says. Lacey nods her head and closes the door.

Avery quickly gets up and walks over to her dresser.

"You know this is probably about the you and Harry thing." She says as she rummages through her drawer.

"How would they know about it?" I ask.

"Cate and Julia know everything." Ari says as she walks into the bathroom.

"But they couldn't possibly have known because they didn't see us together at all." I say as I grab some simple clothes.

"Maybe someone blabbed." Avery suggests as she slips on her clothes.

"I doubt that." I say to Avery.

"You never know. Maybe one of these bitches opened their mouth." Avery says in her hilarious British accent. What's up with all these British people at this freaking school?

"Or maybe Harry told one of his Alpha Psi brothers and they told Cate and Julia." Ari says as she walks out of the bathroom fully changed.

"No, but Harry said that the Alpha's don't care about Kappa's. In fact their leader Louis has a crush on Julia." I state as I put on my pants.

"Wait, guys. We could be completely wrong about this anyways. It might not even be about Harry and Sam. It could just be about something completely different." Avery states as she puts on her shoes.

"That's true. But whatever it's about, we have to deny it. Especially if it's about Harry and I." I say anxiously.

"Yup. We're going to stay in total deniability." Ari says as she stands by the door waiting for Avery and I to be finished.

We walk out the door and head down stairs and go outside where Cate and Julia are waiting for us patiently on the backyard patio by the pool.

"Hello Ladies." Cate says to us as she gets up from her lounge chair and walks over to us.

"Hello." We say in coordination.

"I know you guys are wondering why we called you down here, but that's just because we thought it would be good to talk and catch up on things." Julia says calmly.

"So where going to go for a little boat ride down Santa Ynez river, just a few miles north." Cate says with enthusiasm.

Avery, Ari, and I look at one another and fake a smile. This probably isn't going to be good.

I use the paddle to row our boat down the skinny river. The sound of the rolling river relieves my ears. I listen as everything around me is quiet and peaceful. The smell of the refreshing spring water tingles in my nose. The feeling of the Suns rays beating down on my skin is breathtaking.

The peacefulness is suspenseful until Cate breaks the silence.

"So, there's been this little rumour going around that one of you were seen fooling around with an Alpha Psi brother." She says with a raised eyebrow. I knew this is what we were going to talk about. But I have to make sure that I stay in 100% denial.

"What are you talking about?" Ari says in a convincing tone.

"I'm talking about one of you girls hooked up with Harry Styles and thought you could keep it a secret. You know the Kappa Kappa Psi rules. Number four states that you must not have sexual relations with an Alpha Psi member!" Cate snaps at us.

"Well none of us did. Maybe the rumour you heard was just a rumour." Avery defends. Cate rolls her eyes at Avery. I can see Julia looking over at me with a sharp look.

"You seem awfully quiet Sam. Is there anything you'd like to share with us?" Julia says. My hands begin to go clammy. I don't like lying. I have a hard time holding back the truth. But if I want to continue as a Kappa Kappa Psi sister for the rest of the semester, then I have to remain in complete deniability.

"No, other than who ever told you this rumour is a scum bag and doesn't know what their talking about." I say as I row the boat with more pressure and speed.

"If you say so. I just want you guys to know that if you are lying to us, we will find out one way or another and you will be removed from the Kappa Kappa Psi mansion immediately. And we don't want that to happen because we actually like you 3. That's why we invited you into Limo A and you sleep in one of the luxury suites of the mansion." Julia says.

Ari looks over at the both of us then back at Julia. "I'm not their roommates." She says as she raises her hand shyly.

"Would you like to be?" Cate suggests. Ari looks at Avery and I once more.

"I mean, I guess." Ari smiles.

"Well then, you can room in with them by the end of the day. But remember, No sexual relations with a Alpha Psi brother! We will find out if your lying." Cate warns us. We nod our heads relentlessly.

"Okay, now that we've got that covered, we can head back to the mansion." Julia says with a sigh.

I row us all the way back to the mainland and we hop in the car and drive back to the mansion.
