karkat looked at you with slitted eyes. he was trying to decide what to say. he finally closed his eyes for a moment and began to speak. "gamzee has been on heroine for as long as any of us can remember. none of us knew what he was like without it. when I found out, I told him he needed to stop and he did. but after his withdrawls, he got really violent." the car pulls into karkat's apartment complex. "I have something inside to show you" he said. you felt numb. gamgam, violent? there is no possible way. a drug couldn't change a person that severely could it?

karkat walked you inside. "hey thweetness!" you hear echo through the apartment. "sollux we have a guest!" karkat called back. at that point, a tall lanky boy with glasses and dirty blonde hair walked into the room. he wrapped his arms around kar from behind and kissed his forhead before walking over to you. "hi I'm tholluxth" he says. you reach out and shake his hand. "I'm ____" you say. "oh your gamzee'th girlfriend! I heard about you." he says. you hadn't noticed before but he has one blue eye and one green. that is awesome. karkat clears his throat. "____ found out about gamzees problem... and she told him to stop." he says. sollux's bi-colored eyes grow wide. "how long until the withdrawlth thtop?" he says in an even voice. karkat takes you back to a bedroom and pulls out a box. he takes the top off of it and pulls out a picture of an adorable girl with a cat hat on and a big smile on her face. "this was our friend nepeta" he said. he pulled out a newspaper clipping. the headline read "fatal car accident claims life of 16 year old girl". kar had tears in his eyes now. "gamzee got angry when he was driving me and nepeta to the movies. she tried to calm him down and he jerked the steering wheel. he slammed her side of the car into an suv and she was gone." a few tears fell from his face. and he pulled out another picture of a boy with long straight black hair and sunglasses. "This was her best friend equius. He confronted gam after what happened and gam pushed him down a flight of stairs. He has total amnesia and is recovering in a mental hospital but they are saying he won't ever really remember anything." then came pictures of karkat in the hospital with a broken arm. "I knew that we needed high gamzee back so I got a bit of heroine from his old dealer. I went to his place and jumped on him. I got the heroine in him but he threw me against a wall and broke my arm." you thought about how gamzee had thrown that serenge on the ground and shattered it. you imagined him throwing the short boy in front of you against a wall in rage. it was an awful image.
