you kept walking until you reached the front of the hospital. the large white building loomed over both of you as you stepped inside. "sis...sis sis sis sis" gamzee said as he started to pull against you. "gam gam what? come on." "naw sis naw hospitals ain't natural!" he said. you looked at him with pleading in your eyes. "gam please just come inside ok? please gam I will be with you the whole time." his pupils dialated in and out as he tried to make a decision. "I don't fucking care!!!" he screamed loudly. you jumped and released his hand. he looked down at it. then to you. and then back again. he wrapped his arms around you. "sorry sis" he said slowly. you relaxed and rubbed his back. "follow me baby ok?" you softly whispered in his ear. he nodded against your shoulder and broke away. you began to walk slowly and you could hear his uneven steps behind you. you walk up to the front desk and turn around. he stands a few feet behind you. you can see his pupils dialating quickly. "babe" you say in an even voice. he shakes his head and looks back at you, smiling a bit. you turn around to face the woman at the desk who is staring at gamzee with wide eyes. "hey umm how exactly could I check someone into the psych ward?" you ask scratching your neck. the woman looks from you to him to you again and says " I'll have someone come and get him and give you the paperwork" she then goes back to get someone. you turn around and gamzee is staring off into space. "gamzee" you say again "what do you want motherfucker!" he screams. you jump a little but just then a few doctors. come out the door and stare at you and gamzee. the head doctor comes to you and hands you some paperwork. "I will be able to stay with him correct?" he looked from you to gamzee and you again. "we will try" he said. you nod and look over the paperwork. a few doctors approach gamzee and a deep growl rips from his throat. you look back at him and sigh. you walk past the medics and loop your arm with his. he glares down at you for a moment and then his expression softens. "hey sis" he said. you give him an attempt at a smile. "come on gam follow me." the doctors stare at you for a moment before walking you back to a room. you have gamzee sit down and keep your hand locked in his while a doctor comes in and checks his vitals. when the man leaves he looks a little closer to the edge. you stand up next to the bed. "you are doing really good gam" you say as you cradle his head. he wraps his arm around your hips. "sis... you won't leave me will you?" he asked in this pathetic little voice. you leaned down to where you were face to face with him and kissed him softly. "of course I won't babe" you say softly. he places his hand on your cheek. "I'm sorry sis... the motherfuckers took my miricle" "shhhhhh" you coo. "I'm here". he hugs you again. this time tighter. he's crying with little agonized honks thrown in. "gamgam. I will never leave you ok? never ever" "promise?" "promise." just then another doctor came in. "miss may I ask you a few questions in private?" he asked. you looked down at gamzee who was still hugging your waist. you pet his hair lightly. "baby? I have to go for just a sec ok I'll be back." he reluctantly lets go of you, his eyes narrowed at the doctor "you lookin at somethin MOTHERFUCKER?" he yelled. you and the doctor leave the room and he sighs. "how long has this been happening?" you start to say just a few days but you remember nepeta and equius and tell him the whole story. he looks irritated "you didn't bring him sooner?" he says. you sigh "I just started living him a few weeks ago but he has been sober and like this for a few days" you explain. he nods curtly and goes back to the room. you follow.
