Falling In Love with a Math Geek chapter 3

-Elizabeth-

I looked around the libary again, waiting for Ian. 

We were supposed to meet up after lunch again but he hasn't showed up yet and lunch was about to end. 

so he ditched me! ugh what an ass!

I grabbed my books and walked out to the libary and went to Ian locker.

The hallway was empty.

I was about to go back to the lunch room and finish eating with me friends but then the bell rang.

So I just walked to my next cass.

The rest of the day was fast and boring.

I didnt talk much I was too pissed at Ian for ditching me like that! 

When the last bell rang. I started to wak to my locker. 

"Liz!" someone yelled behind me. 

I turned to see my best friend Katie.

"Hey" I  smiled.

"hey...so did you hear about what happened today at lunch?" she asked 

"No what?" i asked opening my locker.

"That someone on the football team beat up  that math geek...but no one telling who and so they might cancel  the next footbal game."  she said 

I froze "wait what?" I said looking at her confused.

Math geek? was she talking about Ian? I really hope that she wasnt.

"yeah they can not cancel the football game how wrong is that!" she said 

"no the boy what was is name?" I asked

"umm....I dont know he that math geek that does the footballs team math homework..." she said lookng at the floor.

She was talking about Ian i knew she was.

I walked away form her and went to the office and looked though the window.

There i saw Ian with an ice pack on his face. 

I walked in and walked to his seat.

"hey are you okay?' i said as i sat next to him.

 He looked at me and i could see he had a busted lip and a black eye and his nosie looked broken.

"yeah I am fine. Sorry I missed you at lunch." he said 

"Dont worry about it." I said taking the ice pack form his hands and holding it to his eye.

"Thanks." he sad with a small smile.

"What happened?" i asked him

"Nothing I just...nothiing." he said 

"Ian..." I started to say but the princpal office door opened and a women walked out. 

She walked over to IAn and me.

"Hey Are you ready to go home?" she asked Ian 

"yeah." he took ice pack form and we both stood up.

He turned to me and said "I'll see you later Liz." 

"okay feel better." i said giving him a small smile and watched him walk out the door. 

-Ian-

I walked out the school building with my mom in silence. 

We walked to the car and started driving down the road.

"Your bothers are coming over for dinner tonight." she said 

All my bothers went to a college nearby so they could come to dinner when ever.

"I am going to my room and going to bed." i told her looking at the window.

I knew my bothers were going to give me crap about my face and i really dont feel like hearing it.

When we got home I was true to my words and went striaght to my room.

That night I didnt go down for dinner.

Though my bothers did come in my room to talk to me but i faked being asleep. 

I was sick of everyone and everything. 

i was sick of people walking over like the football team and everyone at school.

I was of not being like my brother and being nothing to my dad.

I was sick of being a nobody.

Things were going to change..liz was going to help me.

-Elizabeth- 

I walked down the hallway which was fill of students. 

Its been 3 days since someone on the football team beat up Ian. 

They did cancel the next which i was very pleased. 

Its what they get for hurting Ian.

Ian hasnt been coming to school and i have been worried about him. 

I walked down the hallway looking for ian locker hoping he was here today.

It was my lucky day. 

Ian was getting some book out his locker. 

"hey Ian" i said walking to him.

"Hey you free for lunch?" he said not looking at me. 

"yeah." i said 

"okay were meeting in the libary." he said then closed his locker and walked away.

"okay..." i said slowly walking to my class.

-Later at the lunch-

"hey" I said talking a seat next to ian at our table.

"hey." he said looking through some papers

"I never did get a chance to ask how you were...so how are you feeling?" i asked

 HE looked at me. he didnt say anything he just looked.

"What?" i asked 

" I need your help with something..." he sid 

"what?" i asked again

"will you be my giirlfriend?" he asked 

"what!" i said shocked

"well you be my fake girlfriend...I am sick of everyone thinking I am worthless." he said looking at the table.

"and you think that if people think your dating me you'll be something?" i asked

"yeah...so will you help me?"  he said 

"no!" i said

he didnt say anything for a few minutes.

"if you dont be my fake girlfriend i'll tell everyone that i am tutoring you." he said

My mouth dropped.

"you promised you keep that a secret." i said 

"Look i'll make you a deal i'll keep this a secret and if you be my fake girlfriends its a win win situation.  you have tomorrow to think it over." he said taking his books and walked out the libary. 

I just watched him completely shocked.
