Ok you know what, I'm going to ask him out today. I can't just dream of being with him. Today is the day I will finally ask him if we can go out for coffee or something of that sort when he is on his lunch break.
What if I get rejected? What if he doesn't want to talk to me? And worse what if he doesn't even want to be around me? No, no, no, don't think like that. "He wouldn't reject the king of Gotham. No one would."
What should I even wear? Ah, when I go to ask him I will wear one of my regular suites and before lunch I will change into one of my finest suites. "Butch! BUTCH!" I yell. "Yes Mr. Penguin?" Butch says. "About time, go fetch me one of my finest suites. Now!" "Yes sir." He says.

"What brings you around here Oswald?" Jim says. "Ugh, I just need to talk to Edward. Where is he?" I ask him. "He is right over there." * Jim points at the only desk in front of the Windows * "Thank you Jim" I tell him with a small smile.
As I start to walk up the stairs all I can think about is what could go wrong. What if I trip down the stairs after I ask him? What would happen if I started to stutter? What if I get cold feet and just stand there not able to say anything? No. I will not let any of that happen today.
"Hello Edward." I say as I get closer to his desk. "Hello Oswald. Thanks ft the information by the way, I don't think we would have been able to solve the case without it." Edward told me. "Just helping out in any ways that I can around here." Ask him now. "I have a question for you Edward." "What is it?" Edward says in a curious tone. "I was wondering if you would like to go out for lunch today with me when you are one your break." Oh please don't reject me. "Yes... Yes I will, my lunch break is in a hour." Edward said. HE SAID YES!!! "Would you like to go to the new Coffee and Sweets place downtown?"
"Of course! I've been wanting to go there ever since it opened." Edward says with excitement. "Wonderful! I'll meet you there in a hour." I say. "See you then." Edward says before I start to walk away.
